Just go to your telephone company web site and BLOCK the offending number, so it will not be able to come thru.
But that's nothing permanent, because those Caller ID spoofers use a number for one day or so, then start to use some other number. The numbers they use are abandoned numbers, not yet reassigned by the telephone companies.
    From Wikipedia:

Caller ID spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to display a number on the recipient's Caller ID display which is not that of the actual originating station. The term is commonly used to describe situations in which the motivation is considered malicious by the speaker or writer. Just as e-mail spoofing can make it appear that a message came from any e-mail address the sender chooses, Caller ID spoofing can make a call appear to have come from any phone number the caller wishes. Because of the high trust people tend to have in the Caller ID system, spoofing can call the system's value into question.

It is amazing that such a crooked practice is allowed to go on!
Where are the feds when I need them????? I wrote to my US Rep...no response!

Bottom line: IGNORE IT and never give the other side ANY information. PERIOD!

I called the number back and asked to speak to a manager. I was connected to one and complained about the non stop calling. He agreed to cancel my quote in their system and I have not heard from them since.

Gee whiz!! I missed their call. Guess it's because I don't answer #'s I don't recognize. They need to be happy they missed me! I'm not nice to telemarketers, bill collectors, etc.

Reading all the remarks here, I know how I got this call and one from 602 225-3740 and maybe 410 589-0672.

I was in my inbox looking through my emails and saw one about doing a survey and receiving a coupon for Red Lobster. I thought it was innocent!! After answering quite a few questions I had a set of questions about insurance. I got about 1/2 way through it before I realized what was going on!. I should have known but won't be fooled again. I guess my thought is: DON'T ANSWER ANY EMAILS THAT INDICATE YOU WILL GET SOMETHING FREE!!

I was with AIG for years... They are the pits... I wouldn't insure my skateboard with those turkeys...

And trust me... they are anything but the least expensive either... I went with a different company and cut my bill by over half... and AIG said I was  already getting a price "less" than it was supposed to be... so I told them I would help them save money... and went somewhere else... that very day.

Annoying, they call and if you don't answer they call again two seconds later. If you email for a quote you should get a quote by email. Phone for a quote and you should get a quote by phone.

This was a live person wanting to transfer me to a specialist with 21st century. I am livid since:

Yes, I went to an insurance quote comparison website
Yes, I fully expected to enter my information and receive quotes from "x" # of companies.
BUT INSTEAD (after I entered the information) to a page with a link to
    21st century
    AAA
    AIS
    GEICKO
and a few others (not Statefarm as they are you I have now for the past 18 years.)

I told them that I was livid that the would use a scaming/misleading website to produce leads!

I hope the do not call back.

On my phone, I save the ones that call repeatedly, I save them as DNA (Do Not Answer). I then give them their own special ringtone - SILENT. My phone lights up when they. Call, but there is no sound and no vibration! Works like a charm for me. Hope the idea helps.

They called this morning and left a voicemail (I don't answer unknown callers) stating that I had filled out an online quote request form.  I've never even been to their website.  I'll call back later and harass them.

Have called four times today already. A real nuisance. If it's 21st Century Insurance, they're already bombarding my snailmail and email box with junk mail. Stop it already.

The person calling was from 21st Century Auto Insurance, following up on an online quote from their web site.

21st Century is now owned by AIG.

They left a callback number of 877-845-4886.
