Got an quote on line and within an hour 21st Century called me 3 times. I had to call the company to get them to stop.

My # is on the DO NOT CALL registry.  To my knowledge, I have never requested an insurance quote from this company and have no idea how they got my #.  They have called me over a dozen times in the last 3 hours.  I answered the most recent one (I was trying to find their # in my directory as I was typing this and they were calling again!) and asked them to remove me from their list.  Hopefully that worked.

There is only one way these people got my number.  I applied for social security.  Inadvertently went to the website of a private company that does advocacy work for individuals trying to get social security disability.  I completed a questionnaire and neglected to uncheck a box, and now private health insurance companies are calling me, dozens per day.

I don't answer unrecognized numbers. I google them afterwards, and if it's a nuisance call I save it with a "Z" code, such as 'Z', 'Z.', 'Z,' 'Zz'. I can save 5 or so numbers under each name. Thus if they call back I know to reject the call or just not answer.

It's about insurance. Don't make the mistake of using your PC for insurance quotes. ARRR

I was looking for car insurance quotes and answered an ad on yahoo for people over 55.  After I put in my information I was actually getting calls as I hit the send button.  Now, I dont blame these companies for being aggressive to make money, but they do get annoying.  If we put our number online, we have to expect calls and if we dont like them, we need to call the company and request to be removed from their list.  It will take about 30 days for it to stop.

Called Saturday evening at dinner time asking for someone who had my phone number 2 or more years ago. I told them that and asked them to remove my number from their list. My number is on the do not call list, so they shouldn't be calling it even if they think they're calling the same person as 2 years ago.

got a call saying in summited info from internet did do  it.  the called with a quote that i did not ask for
