- jd| 2 repliessaid they had a stimulus check for me and that someone would be there at noon to deliver it and and you had to sign for it. know one showed up at noon or anytime
- SM replies to jd| 1 replysame number called my husband yesterday saying he was from ups and had a package to deliver tomorrow but didn't have the apartment number or building number of the address. Same guy call my husband and me from a different number stating same thing. When I called the number back it was a ups store and no one there had called either one of us. I later went to the ups store to talk to the manager and he called his phone company and they had no phone calls going out from their store to my cell phones. I ended up going to the sprint store down the street to get a copy of phone calls received and made between my husband and I and I have that ups number calling my husband and I both about 5 min apart.
SM - marwri| 1 replyWho are these people and how can we stop these annoying calls?
- Dirty Harry800-860-2264 is related to 775-520-9485. Caller is a female claiming to be from National Express Delivery, an alleged courier service in Nevada. Caller claims their "driver was at your home this morning at 7:00AM trying to deliver your important package from Bank of America, but you were not home". When pressed for a supervisor or a call back number for Bank of America, female caller got nasty and hung up.
This is an information phishing/identity theft scam and needs to be shut down and the persons responsible prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!- Caller: National Express Delivery

- Melissa| 1 replyI didn't hear half the information because I was in the car on the interstate at the time, but I got a call from this number today. They wanted to know if I was still looking for a job. I didn't hear the name of it. When I asked where they were located, the woman said California, but they had many offices elsewhere. I've not applied for a job in several years, but had been applying for an internship, but only local businesses. I told her to call later. Think she is supposed to try tomorrow. But, I went ahead and looked up the number and found this. Don't think I'll be answering.
- Tyson replies to MelissaI got the same call this morning! She told me it was about a job referral and that it was a free service. I was very confused. I had just applied for a job but I wouldn't say that I'm on any active job search. I told her I wasn't interested. She then said "well I need to send this refferal back too you it's important and has your SSN # in it". She repeated past addresses to me, I don't live at them anymore, then she asked to confirm my birthday. So they know my phone number, my birthday, and 2 previous addresses. Should I report this? Do you think that's enough information to put me at risk? Or do you think that I would of had to go along with it a little longer (i.e. apply for a fake job with them)?

http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/03/job_scams.html - carrieI got a call from this number about fifteen minute ago on my cell phone, pretending to be manpower employment agency, asking if i was still looking for work... was confused because I hadn't been looking for work for years, but she claimed it was an old online inquiry. we discussed typing speed, casual attire, transportation, things of that nature, as I really believed this was an employment agency. however, when she asked my address, it was to mail me documents...fine. i gave it to her..but when she asked me to confirm my date of birth is..red flags went off, because she had the year wrong, and I intentionally have my credit under the wrong year, which means they are getting the information from credit reports. i am not listed anywhere with a date of birth in that year except on credit reports. when I told her I smelled a rat and asked her if she specifically knows where they get the information, she again said that it was an online inquiry and not credit reports, however, she has only worked there for a month..sounded young and stupid. I think alarmed when I told her I worked for Manpower at one time.
end of story..now that I think about it this is the same number years ago that had called saying they had a parcel to deliver. very wary..
going to forward c alls to a disconnected number for awhile.- Caller: unknown

- joeYoung woman said she was calling me because a neighbor used me as a reference. She gave me his name and address. Said he was trying to get a construction job through Manpower. Address is across the street and mailman said people with that name had moved some time ago. I have tried to call the number but keep getting 'mailbox is full, try again later' msg.
- SG' Family replies to SMToday someone called my husband and stated Fed Ex had a package for me from my job and they would be at our house in 30 minutes and they had already tried to deliver the package earlier that morning but they couldnot get it delivered because it required a signature and they never showed. Then they called my number with the same lie. The number was to a number with a full box. There must be something the FBI or law enforcement can do to put an end to these saddistic individuals.
- linnysaid they had a package to deliver to my husband, from A1 express
- brucecalled my inlaws to get info on me to deliver a package from A1 delivery
for my birthday - NesloThis guy called on my husband's cell phone asking for my son-in-law who is in Iraq. Said he had a delivery for him. Said he was from the "Army Depot." High pressure trying to get us to give out info on my daughter et al.
- Caller: Army Depot
- PeaGot a call for my roommate on my cell phone from this number saying they are trying to deliver a package from National Express Delivery. They too, were trying to get information about my roommate. Looking back, a few months ago I got a smiliar call for my roommate but last time it was about a job, she said he put me down as a reference when I asked her how she got my number. I asked my roommate about it and he said he never used me as a reference.
I am on a do not call list. Whatever this is and whatever it is about, I really don't need to be harrassed about my roommates business. How did they get my number anyway? - LeysaYea...So I think these B@stards actually tried to call my cell phone service provider customer service line and pose as me trying to get information. Luckly they got the pin number wrong and was denied anything. But the red flag was when my cell phone company sent me my security information randomly! So I called and they said someone called stating they were me but couldn't authenticate the password, so they were told they can't access the account. This comes like shortly after I've seen this number trying to call me lately...I'm just going to change my number, this is weird. I'm thinking a law suit can be brought from this since I have proof noted on my cell phone account that someone tried to steal my information. I'm sure my cell phone company can pull their call records and see what number called in for it...I think who ever this is, should seize and exist before they lose everything from a lawsuit...
- Bugs800 860 2264 called looking for Tim Rice said they were Manpower and had a job for him. Good luck the jerk never worked. Told them not to call back; but it was funny they had my phone with his name on it.
I reported it to Man Power. Call said her name was Kelsy Brown; she hung up when I said the guy she was looking for was a crimminal.
