800-860-4230 belongs to VRI Medical Alert Systems,sells health monitoring devices.

They call when MIL pushes the button on her bracelet or when she forgets to test it once a month.  They call her to remind her but their recording is not understandable to her so she hangs up like it's another robocall.

My mother subscribers to Verizon's medical alert button service.  VRI is apparently the service Verizon uses. If she presses her button and doesn't respond when they call her back they call my brother then me.

Identified himself as calling on behalf of my health insurance to offer me a new benefit. A monitoring weight scale. Never said he worked for VRI. Called earlier and told my wife that since my doctor diagnosed me with congestive heart failure they would like to send out the scale. I have a heart doctor but never seen the doctor (an internist) he mentioned. And I do not have congestive heart failure. This looks like the call we used to get all the time where they wanted to send out a nurse to take vitals and talk so they could charge Medicare or Medicare Advantage.

I tell them I'm not interested but they keep calling.
