Caller said they were with QuickBooks and wanted me to pay $450.00

These guys got my checking account number and have put through bogus charges on my checking account for $449 each time!

It shows up on my checking statement at "QuickBooks support services" But they aren't affiliated with QuickBooks at all. Its a scam!

I don't know what can be done about them. Their phone no is 800-864-4170

They promise refunds, even give out refund numbers , but of course no refunds come!

Avoid them!

RANSOMWARE ALERT! A colleague reported his company's "server has been infected with ransomware by the name of  “LeChiffre”.  This is extremely nasty ransomware which encrypts all of the files on your server drives.  It apparently comes from India.  You may receive an email or message saying some of your software is not operating correctly and to call customer support  ...  We were lead to call 1-800-864-4170.  When the phone is answered they will say they are support for whatever software you are having trouble with and will ask to access your computer.  DO NOT GIVE ANYONE access to your computer unless you are perfectly sure you trust them.  Unfortunately we let them access one of our computers."

Their computer systems were locked down and are being held for ransom. Unfortunately, the back-ups were corrupted as well before they the lock-down occurred.

THIS IS NOT AN INTUIT COMPANY - BEWARE. I did called Intuit  they says it was a fradulent call. Now I have to figure out how to get the LMI_RescueRC.exe off my computer.

If you let them into your computer you have a lot more problems than that program.  They stole everything off of it.
