    years ago I got a call at work from a debt collector pretending to be my dead father. I told him right away: "Get some manners, and call me right back with a proper introduction." and hung up on him. A few moments later my boss hands me the phone again. This time the man said: "Hello, I am Mr. ____ from ____ credit company and I wanted to make arragements with you about your next payment." I said: "Thank you" and made the proper arrangements. Amazing how far a little honesty will go.
