They left a message on my answering machine on a Sunday.  It says, "Hello, please call us regarding an office matter in my office.  This is not a sales or telemarketing call.  Please call us at 1-800-864-9392.  Please call Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm at 1-800-864-9392.  Again the # is 1800-864-9392.  I tried to call it back and it is some collection agency.  I can barely understand the name of the collection agency.  Once it states the name of the collection agency, it says to please hold, then it goes to if this is an account with the Georgia Department of Revenue, press 1, for all other accounts please press 2.  I have checked all my credit reports and I have no negative items on Experian, Equifax, or Trans Union.  I did live in the state of Georgia a few years back.  That's what so weird.  I paid my taxes for the years I lived there so I am not sure why these people are calling.  I am one to pay my bills.  I called again and again and instead of pressing 2, I pressed 1 for the Georgia Department of Revenue....nothing happened...it went silent.  When I would call and press 2 for other accounts, a recording would come on, "The next available operator will be able to assist you, you call is very important to us."  "We will get an associate on the phone to assist you shortly."  Please note it may take a while for your call to be answered because we take personal attention to our customers."  I am blown away by this.  There is nothing I can think of that I could even have a collection on.  I am nervous about this.  All of my friends are telling me it has to be a scam.

Interesting...The last comment here was in 2007. Today, 9/13/2018, my cell received a call and voicemail message from this number.  When I checked it it was in a foreign language, possibly Japanese
