Just got an automated call from this number. They were looking to collect a debt from someone with a Russian-sounding name.  Obviously these folks just pick numbers out of the air, because I keep getting calls for a growing cast of characters in addition to the 3 deadbeats they have been going after for the last 20 years.

This place calls me constantly with an automated message. I finally listened and called back. He first comes up with the name "Hernandez" which is not me. Then finally comes up with a phone number to match my husband's name. Then tells me he is a law firm collecting a debt from 2009. So I start questioning him and writing everything down so I can get my husband to call back. I verified the amount he was collecting and when i questioned why a law firm was collecting a debt he got really rude. Then I asked for the name of the firm again he said "Never mind" and hung up on me. [***]!

When asked who they are and why calling, a long pause.  Hmm.  Do believe someone was trying to come up with a good reason.  When asked for a return, non-800,  number.  Hmmm.  No answer.   When asked for their business license or proof of being able to do business in my state,  hmmm.  No answer.  When asked for street mailing address.  Not PO Box.  No answer.  Lots of no answers from this 1-800 number.

This office is calling me because someone used my phone number as a contact number. They want me to give them information they should already have.

They call every hour doing the morning and afternoon.

This number called my number twice today for someone named Meddler.  It has been on and off call since I got my cell number which is for about five years.  Please can soneone post where to report this.

These guys had sued me a while back (in nov) and won. I filed for appeal and said what I had to say. Times are tough and I have no job and with no job comes no health insurance. I have a VERY expensive medication that I have to take every day and can not get insurance because of pre-existing condition. Well my appeal was turned down only for them to find out I have no wages they can take or any property then can take. Next thing I know it's back in these clowns hands and I'm getting 5 calls a day I spoke to them and told them what was up and that I can not pay right now nor for sometime. They have yet to contact me by mail which they are required to do within 5 days of my contacting them (it's been over a month and nothing) and they threaten to sue me before they have any paper work saying they can. At this point they have lost out on more money then I owe just paying everyone to contact me and by already sueing me. I wish I could pay them back but I just can not right now and they know they can't get anything from me as long as I still have no job so they should just chill and do the job the way the FTCPA says they should

They call all day long. Is there a law that limits the number of times they can call in a day in Texas

Keep callingno message. Today went to vaoice mail all I could hear was people talking in the background then they hung up.

Recently, in addition to this debt collector, there seems to be a lot of calls I believe most from out of the country.  It seems if you ever had any credit they take a crumb of that transaction and try to extort money from you.  I hired a lawyer on another matter and this one I am coping all your comments and sending to the Attorney General's office.  If we must obey the laws of the United States then so must they.  Will post when I get a response.  In the mean time for those frustrated by these calls, get an Attorney, the fees are low and they work with you if you are worried about money, they will help you protect your rights.

So apparently they represent Midland Funding LLC, calling to collect a debt. Told them they had the wrong number and they hung up.
