they left message asking for a call back about an urgent matter.  They did leave a reference number.  I did not call back...

I got a message from Ralph stating he was being "forced to close out" my "claim". He stated he was from Nelson-Wachtel Associates. Also left ref. #. Don't know who this is, won't call back. Never used my name or any identifier to make sure it was the right number.

I received a message on my machine from 800-870-6122 extention 2025 from a Richard something stating that he was an attorney calling after several several un-returned messages. He demanded that I call him back before 5pm today or .... not audible. I called the number and it is just a automated system that drops off. Errrr.

Am paying Nelson Watson on an acct and they are calling my son.  Said I refused their calls.  I never received a call from them; just a written notice.  All collectors should have to let the phone ring long enough to anser it or be required to leave a voice mail.  Som's don't ring long and when you call back it can't accept calls.  Shabby way to collect.

They called yesterday and left garbled message about an "important matter" and to call back.  Appears to be a collection agency.

i tried calling number but never connected to any one I am trying to find out what they what????
 I know that i owe some debt's but cannot they say or even answer the phone???

A person calling from this number left a message at my work phone number, saying that I needed to call ASAP.  The name of the agency she gave was Nelson, Watson & Associates.  Her name ws Amanda.  I called that evening but the place was closed.  I called firt thing the next morning and a male answered.  I said I was returning Amanda's call and trying to figure out what they wanted from me.  He asked for my phone number.  I gave him the one she called but not my cell, although they problay got it on their caller ID.  he coudl not find any information on any matter wiht that phone number.  So, he asked my name.  He could not find any information on any matter located under that name.  Then he said, "Well, sometimes we can locate information with a social security number."  I laughed adn told him there was no way I was giving out my number to anyone over the phone adn if Amanda needed soemthign from me, she'd have to call me back.  That was a week ago and I have not heard from her since.  Yes, they are lsited as a collection agency on a web site, which doesn't make it true.  I owe nothing.  I think this is a total scam.

The fact that they couldn't locate anything with your phone number or by your name doesn't mean it is a scam.  Amanda was probably skip tracing and might've just dialed a wrong #.  I'm really glad you pay your bills. Unfortunately, there are thousands of people that don't.  Sometimes because they are in the business of stealing by conversion and sometimes because they have encountered a financial hardship. It is the collectors job to contact that person, find out what happened and try to set up the best possible arrangement to repay the unpaid debt.  Amanda was just doing her job.  You just happened to inherit a phn# that belonged to someone that is less fortunate financially or decided to go for theft by conversion... either way... it doesn't make it a scam.
