- Thia replies to rachelIf it's so great, why do you have to come here and shout? Also, why do you feel the need to randomly look up your ex-employer's phone number listing online and come here and tell us how "great" it is? Doesn't speak well for the company or your intentions.
- Stinky Debt Collector replies to rachelMaybe I can work for them. I kind of miss not being able to
1. Make people cry over the phone
2. threaten people with jail
3. threatening children to get their parents before I go and take their toys.
Christmas is my favorite month for these tactics, but for Holloween
"You must pay your bill of this month willl be veeeeery scary for you!!!"
HAHAHAHAH
Maybe I'll apply. :-S - Willow replies to rachelYep.....cause yelling it makes it more believable. Back under the bridge with you.
- The-Truth replies to rachelOuch! My brain is exploding and draining out of my ears from trying to understand your illiterate, "what's a caps lock key?" rant. I certainly believe you worked in collections, and are likely working as a professional shill now, because your obvious lack of an ability to communicate coherently makes you a prime candidate for jobs no one with an ounce of intelligence or self respect would touch with a ten foot pole.
- Sir Bedevere replies to rachelHi Rachel! Say to your friend Heather for me!

- Not Nobody| 3 repliesSomehow, this company has left 2 voice mails on my phone, but has never called my phone. I have no missed calls from them. They don't give any info in the message, aside from who they are & that they are trying to collect a debt. They don't mention me or anyone else by name. I guess that means they're tryin to collect from Nobody. &, since I'm not Nobody, I guess that means I can ignore them. Never heard of them before now anyway, & don't know what I could possibly owe them.

- AndyI have received multiple messages on my answering machine about debt collection, but the message always cuts off before the phone number is left and it comes up as "out of area" on the caller ID. Finally, I was home one day when they called and was able to get the phone number. I was very skeptical with the number of scams out there today, and because I did not have any outstanding balances that I was aware of. However, I wanted to get more information, so I called it. It turns out they are a legitimate debt collection agency called On-Line Information Services and they gave me the information of the company that sent my case to them. Knowing I had already paid that bill, I told them I wanted to call the company where the bill came from first, before going any further. The woman I spoke with at On-Line Information Services was Robyn and she was very understanding and helpful. I called the place that originally sent me the bill and found out they made a mistake when inputting my payment. They also confirmed that On-Line Information Services is a licensed debt collection agency that they use when trying to receive payment on past due accounts. I called Robyn back and let her know the situation and she notated my account. She was not pushy and did not ask for more information than was necessary. I hope this helps put people's mind at ease...for once it is NOT A SCAM.

- Rae replies to Bob| 1 replyMy husband gets these every so often for the guy that owned his phone number before him. He tells them not to call to take him off their list and of course they don't. So what he does call talks to the manager to take him off. Then tells them he's going to call back to see if they have. If they haven't he proceeds to call them every 1/2hour and just tie up their line so they can't make any money. He just talks to the manage though. They always get really mad and start begging him to quit calling them. He says when you take my name off the list I will stop calling. If you are going to waste my time and give me stress then I'm making sure you don't make money. They usally do by this time. Then he waits a couple of days and calles him back just to make sure.

- Robsky replies to drwDebt collection companies that buy old debt can't take you to court to recover money, only the original creditor can do that.
