i dont know this phone # and keep calling

A man by the name of Corey calls for a Barbara saying this is an important business matter and to return the call at extension 510.  

THERE IS NO SUCH PERSON BY THAT NAME AT THIS ADDRESS OR WITH THIS NUMBER.

The actual number on the caller ID is 727-446-0018; however the number he says to call is 1-800-874-0699 Ext. 510.

Again, there is no such person by that name at this address or phone number.

This is getting ridiculous!!!  I am on the do NOT call list!!!  Like clock work, every month they call!!!!!!  They want someone named Linda.... Ummmmm, idiots, my name is Joe!!!!!  There is NO Linda here!!!!

Called just shortly past 8am. They should at least wait until after 9am to begin harassing people. The company is Financial Credit. They are a collection agency for healthcare bills among others I'm sure. The original caller ID came in as "Unavailable" with the toll free number "800-874-0699" displayed.  I answered the landline and did not say anything. The caller said, "Hello? Mrs. XXxX?  Hello? Anyone there?" Then he pressed a button and an automated message began to play as if he had reached an answering machine. That's when they divulged the actual business at hand and a local number that I was to call back. The number, "727-446-0018", cross references to Financial Credit in Pinellas County Florida.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

This number is going by gulf coast collections now. When I requested the aforementioned kettle they said they have not verified the information yet and don't know anything about that type of letter and hung up the phone how rude...

Called and said they were collecting on a medical bill. Asked for my DOB and when I refused as I don't give out any personal information on a cold caller on the phone, they hung up abruptly. Very rude person who didn't seem interested in trying to communicate as to why they were calling once I declined to give them the info. Seemed to want to use bully tactics rather than working to find a solution.  Want to add that I am unaware of any balances owed to any provider, hence my skepticism.

This 800 number just called my phone. No voice. Only very eerie music playing. Not like hold music, like old horror movie music. Or music from the old Doom games. Very weird. Stayed on the phone for a minute and a half and nothing happened except the continuous song. Creepy

One ring and hung up.

This collection agency calls and asks if my number is for Fullstop.  If not, I am to hang up.  I stayed on to hear the message.  They are representing I believe Baycare radiologist;a doctor who accepts Medicare and BCBS, but is trying to get money from me.  I have reported this doctor to Medicare and BCBS, both of whom have called this collection agency on a conference call with me.  Yet this doctor and this agency continue to call me.  Next is reporting them for fraud against Medicare.

Perhaps you should read my other post and use the information in it to report the collection agency to the proper places and to then sue them?

A letter of protection was sent to this group as a result of a car accident.  They continue to call.  Guess they now need a cease letter.

I had the exact same situation. They called me and she did not even identify what company she was with, she just immediately started asking for my DOB. I responded that I would not provide that information and asked what company she was with, she responded with a collection agency but would not say what company she was representing. I do not have any outstanding medical bills or debts, and I have never received a follow-up letter as mentioned above.

Hang up but anyone in Florida getting this call report them to fly don't not call at min with what info you have.they are better than FTC not perfect but I had 2 or 3 success in helping getting co fined  and one they took his state contractor licence and physically took his computers
