- Nope replies to DuhWrong. According to donotcall.org, even if you have service with a business, you can still tell them to put you on their donotcall list and they have to do it.
- Nope replies to lyndzc22Call that number and insist they put you on their donotcall list. They have to do it, according to donotcall.gov. You have to give them a certain amount of time to stop calling (this part of the law should be changed, IMO) and then if the calls keep coming: report the number to donotcall.gov, if that doesn't work, try your phone company. If that doesn't work, you can report them to the Better Business Bureau. In our case, the only thing that actually got Mediacom's attention was reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I just answered, and the lady wanted me to sign up for a phone service (I only have Mediacom internet and cable TV). They've called be before and I've told them no, but they don't get the message.

The answering machine answers, and they do not leave a message. It may be the computer is dialing, the numbers. If I don not recognize the number or name and do not leave message, no answer or return phone call. - annoyedI've told these people I'm not intereted, but they just keep calling, and calling....it's one thing to anger random individuals, but to continually bother existing customers really takes guts. Buzz off!

- SICK OF IT!!About every other day, I get a call from 800-874-2924. I answer and there is silence on the other end of the phone. I say, "Hello! Hello!" and nothing. I want the calls to STOP! Maybe it is not MEDIACOM (my local cable company)---maybe it is someone using "Caller ID Spoofing" - look it up.

- SICK OF IT!!| 3 repliesHave been getting calls from Mark E. Whitney of 615 NE 83rd St., Kansas City, Missouri, 64118 AGAIN & AGAIN. He threatens to try to kill me AGAIN and then HANGS UP. He POISONED ME on January 23, 2008 and I ended up in the ER FOUR TIMES because of him. I'm sick to death of it, Mark! Do you hear me? Did you ever get your security system back on/activated? You might want to do that. There have been murders and robberies in your neighborhood, I hear. I would not want you to get "HURT" like you HURT me! The number used to be 816-420-0352, but the chicks**t got it changed. The law is on my side and so is God. You will have to answer for what you have done, Mark Edward Whitney.

- Lester GI receive 2 calls a day from Mediacock. There's always one in the morning and one in the afternoon, usually around the same times. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now. They're trying to sell me more service?? Sounds like a great business model, harassing your customers. What a joke!
