- DraxxisPerson called, didn't leave a message so I called back. They said they were Key Bank. Wanted to verify my information. First asked for my first and last name, then my address, then my phone number they called.
I gave them that, but then they asked for security purposes for my full social security number. When I told them I would only give them either the first 5 or the last 4, the woman got snippy with me and said that they have to have the full social number. I told her that ANY time I ever called Key Bank, they never asked for the full social. She got in a tizzy and was like well when you call us we need the full number. If we call you, then we just need the last 4 digits.
I told her that it was funny that in the past, no matter who called who, I've only given out my last 4 digits.
Right then and there she was like ok thank you have a good day. Trying to get off of the line quickly.- Caller: Key Bank
- Christian S.It's Key bank, I owe them money so they are calling like crazy, [***], you'll get your money when I feel like it!

- kevin| 1 replyYeah, Key Bank is a joke. It's a private loan company with really bad business ethics. They never send you a bill, but they expect you to be on-time with your payments. The only time they call is when you're 6 mos past due on your account. You'd think they'd have better records with better organization than what they do.

- ineCalled me and I answered and the tape was talking to me telling me that KEYBANK has an important message and to call back. asked for verification -- SSN. I asked if he only needed last 4 and he said no.. the whole thing. Then, I gave him to verify. I should have checked before. he told me that I have a negative account. I feel like he was harrassing me when asking me if I was going to do something about this, when in fact I had. I filed a dispute because of the stupid Triple Advantage charge on my account that caused the overdrafting as soon as I got my statement. But, I have not heard anything back or received anything from them. I called the branch and another 1800key2you and spoke with the rep. again, they told me to wait until I receive a paperwork. Then, I explained that to him. He told me to keep up with my branch or key rep. Then, I told him that I have been doing so. However, both of them told me to wait. Then, he said he would check back with me at the end of the week to see if my account is still negative. I just slammed the phone.
I called my branch afterwards and she told me that she would put a mark -- it's about time that everyone in the company knows what's going on!
But, after I found this website, I am a bit worried about my verification. So, I called my branch and explained the situation. I spoke to one of the cust. service and she said KEYBANK does give people phone calls if there is any problem -- like overdrawn charges. But, she had no way to find out whether or not it is legit. she said it's PROBABLY legit.
Does anyone at KeyBank know what the hell is going on?????????????????????????????- Caller: KEYBANK
- keybankstinksI have a student loan account with Key Bank, this is the first time I have seen this number. They do not call often, and when I call them their departments "are currently closed", no matter what time of the day. They have not sent me a statement in 6 months, and I have not paid because in the past their "receiving" addresses may change and the money does not get attributed to my account--this has happened 3 times in the past 5 years, so I do not take any chances. KeyBank stinks with their customer service and records, they still do not send me the federally-required Interest Payment form required by the IRS unless I hound them for a few weeks. Terrible. Time for a complaint with the BBB, and probably a few calls to the credit reporting agencies.

- blatz replies to kevinSame experience with them here. I made payments on my loan and they credited the payments to the wrong loan. Then called me 6 months later and told me I owed 6 months of payments. Terrible people to deal with. I regret choosing them.
- vampyraIt's KeyBank. I overdrew my account and they call every day like 5 times a day! I'm overdrawn at KeyBank because they put a YEAR HOLD on one of my deposits. When I contacted them to correct it, they fixed it but wouldn't reverse overdraft fees. I refuse to pay. I'm going to be screwed for 7 years with my credit but it's worth it! I hate KeyBank!

- K replies to Ayyo| 1 replyI've gotten calls from several other numbers apparently related to this one. I e-mailed KeyBank and their reply instructed me to call this number if I "are received a call" from KeyBank Educational Resources. Very, very strange. I used to have a loan with Key Bank, but it's long since been paid off.
- kabousah replies to Kyes they call all the time ... like they have never seen a fone before ...
- Tired of BSThey left me a message, saying to call them back before 9:00 PM that day. Said they were from Key Bank. I don't even have an account with Key Bank. They must be a collection agency. There are many people in my state with the same name, one of which is apparently a deadbeat in my same county.
- amedorikeeps calling and never leaves a voicemail
- Melanie S. SimmonsKey Bank called & an automated message came on telling me to call 1-800-877-2860 & to select option 1. I did that & a lady that sounded like Moe from the Simpsons wanted to know my SSN. I refused & she asked who my had my loan. I said I didn't know & she asked if it was AES & rattled off some more stuff. I told her AES & I was connected w/ them. I went through the verification process & was told she didn't know why Key Bank called me b/c my loan was current & in repayment status. All she noted was that in July I received a reduction in what I have to pay back b/c of my good pymt history & that's it's direct debited... My advice to anyone is to use a different Lender!!! I'll be glad when I pay them off; they don't conduct their business professionally.

- Rosco757I have received the call but this number was associated with the number 1-514-447-0295, which is people saying they are calling from some advertising company to verify your info so they can send you the remainder of your bill for internet advertising--two year add that you or someone in the company agreed to doinga year ago. Total scam as there are only two people who work here, and neither one of us had agreed to anything such as this.
The display on my phone will show the top number as the one you are searching for and the bottom number is the one I mentioned above.
Say no at all costs--or better yet ask them to repeat the name of the add company they are calling from and ask them if they have a minute to look at the add, they say you are running with them, on the computer to make sure it is o.k., I am sure they will hang up. This way it saves you from being rude, and it will not give you as much stress. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!- Caller: canada directory systems
