08/02/07  My phone rang with a call from the number mentioned above but when I answered there was no response --- just dead air.

Got a call from this number and only heard background noise of other people talking for a few seconds and then they hung up...

call comes in and then they hang up when you answer

I received 3 phone calls, and there was 3 messages on my answer machine.  Twice the caller talking to someone in the background.  One he said my name 3 times and hung up.

Getting calls 2-3 times a day, not sure what these as..... need?

I wasnt familiar with the number so I let it go to voicemail.They called mu cell phone. The message was "hello?? hello?? who the heck is this? There were also other voices in the background

I guess its my turn today to be on the "hit list" They called my cell phone again. Didnt leave a message this time.

OK so what part of "this is a cell phone please dont call it" dont they understand?? I am on the do not call list and have verbally told them not to call this # .... and they continue to call.......everyday now.

cindy, i think you just need to take a little mediciation or something...calm your nerves down a little, its just a phone call.

This number calls my house VERY often ... but i have never picked it up.  this time i was home alone... and ( I'm under 18 yrs. old) the phone rang.  it said 800 service with this telephone number... i picked it up and they said my moms name.. i said she wasn't home...then my dads name... i said he wasn't home  and the guy said.. 'so your home alone?  how old are you?"  i said does it matter?  ( ahah)   he said "yes.  it actually does ill call back later .. i don't like talking to minors." and hung up.   its like i wanna smack the guy. seriously. so i tried calling back and they didnt pick up...so i left.. a rather interesting message if you catch my drift =]].

I have been getting these phone calls for weeks now. It the NY Daily News. I answered just to see who it was and its them. And sometimes I try to answer to tell them to stop calling and they hang up as soon as I try to speeak. I went to the national do not call registy and registered my cell number so hopefully it works. there is also 4 other numbers i get from the daily news which are 516-861-2210, 631-963-7520, 410-685-1008, and 516-561-3320. Chances are if one daily news number is calling you these numbers are calling you as well. I also filed a complaint with the better bussiness buearu too. Hopefully something works becasue its 11am and they already called me 3 times.

the unknown caller with the above number was probably calling from a computer. they (twice the've called) made me think that they were calling from a community organization and trying to welcome me as a new resident. since i'm not i right away check if it is a scam. i end up checking feedbacks from this website..

I want the calls to stop, I have been getting calls from this number twice a day, every day.

Have been getting calls from this bunch at the NY Daily News too. Nobody ever stays on the line long enough for me to blast them. Why would they waste their time & mine trying to sell a NY newspaper to someone in Delaware?

Now they are using the number to send faxes.  When calling the number you get a recording that tells you to leave a message and they will call you back.  it is listed as need insurance.  The calling fax number and name are blocked and that is a vilation of FTC tel proction act of 1991.

Today was Lucky day to get hit by this #, kept calling be like no tomorow and was no one was talking,whoever it is just keep doing ur thing u ganna get caught very soon, shame on you mr phony call maker
