TruGreen is a lawncare company.  Called me twice today!

Filing a complaint with them on the CO no call list today.  Caller did not identify himself, and asked for an incorrect person.  Well perhaps I'll wait and see if they call back or not.  But a complaint is in this persons future if they keep on calling here looking for Dianne Tappy.  Who the heck is that!?  STOP CALLING ME!  This caller came off as a telemarketer or a debt collector.  When I asked who they were, they dude hung up on me.  Great phone method - jerk.

We used Tru Green for years, works pretty good, price was little high for service provided. I canceled service due to this kind of calls. I get consistent calls without them leaving a message and that annoying dial tone sound after the call.  I called them up to request to not include me in their calling list and also told them that if I want other services done, I can check their website for it.  The calls keep calling none stop. Since they havent stopped,  I CANCELED their service.  Their lost. freakin idiots.  I still get calls but got them on my call blocker.

Get Call Blockers to block unwanted calls. They work but I noticed I get more Robocalls once I installed it. Once an unwanted number calls I just press the blacklist button and that number is blocked.

I made the mistake of posting my resume ON LINE on Monster. Shortly after doing so I have been called and called by Head Hunters. They don't have a job to offer they just want to sign me up for their service on case they find one (it's all BS). I changed my posted number from my home number to my cell phone. What a surprise.... the same people stopped calling my house and now they call my cell. Now I have to request the also put my cell on their "Do not call" list. If your number is online someplace - maybe on an online resume posting - that may be where they are getting your number from.

Sorry Bob but Trugreen does tele-market several times after you tell them to stop. I canned their service 2 years ago and have reiterated to them several times to stop calling my cell yet they still do since its a different person from the company calling and they claim that "there was no note of it" and they promise to stop after that (they never do) Our number is on the DNC list as well but I guess that doesn't even matter. I came to the point of reporting them to the BBB, as I've seen others have as well and I'm hoping that will be the final be-all end-all. And if TruGreen was so reputable as you claim then why the daily calls with no message? Why call close to 10pm at night? Why a 9am call on a Saturday? Yes this site is to warn of scams but also to track down what phantom 800 is calling and being intrusive as well.

they just called me and told me they were the electric company and they were gonna shut my power off unless i paid the technician $1500.  I explained that I was a detective and would meet the technician at the store, he said "shove your gun up your [***] gringo"  then hung up

The problem here is that TruGreen Sales Center loads all the phone numbers into their computer's Auto Dialer system.  So you end up getting multiple calls from different people.  The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.  Welcome to Hotel TruGreen.  You can check out any time you like, but we will NEVER leave you alone!!!!

It is true green and since we cancelled there service they have been calling me non stop. PIA really what in "I don't want your service" do they not understand!

They keep changing the number they call my from because I keep blocking them and the calls will just come through on a different number.  We had their service for a year.  We discontinued their service and they have call me weekly since.  I have requested they leave me alone MANY times and they don't listen.  I can't seem to get them to leave me alone.

Thanks for posting this!  Sometime at the beginning of summer, my wife filled out some form for TruGreen indicating we might be interested in an estimate.  As I had never heard of them, I did not pursue it, but meant to look into it further at some point.

Do you have any specifics about why you think they aren't a good reliable service?

They just started calling us again now, so maybe I think I wont pick up until I know more.

The DO NOT CALL registry is not JUST for scammers.  It is for ANY telemarketers trying to sell ANY business.

The only exemptions are for things like politicians and charities, or businesses that you already have a business relationship with. i.e. if you already have ATT or Verizon phone service, they can call you whether you like it or not.  

But if you are on the DO NOT CALL registry and are not already a customer of TRU-GREEN, then they are breaking the law by ignoring the registry and calling people randomly who have no previous relationship with them.

(In my case, they are not breaking the law as my wife made the mistake of contacting them first and giving them our phone number.)

Its amazing how many company reps think they can get away with posting here and pretending they are just customers who are really, really, really, REALLY thrilled with the business and go on to defend the company's "right" to harass the public.

It takes a very special kind of stupid to be a telemarketer.  Otherwise, they might have the talent and intelligence to get a real job that doesn't entail making a living simply by being crude, rude and obnoxious.

You actually mean you ARE "Bob" posting as "Jeff" don't you?  Or does TRU-GREEN hire a number of reps to troll this website posting company adverts?

These S.O.B.s have called me 11 times in the last two days!  Sometimes only this number shows up with no Caller ID, but other times they are identified as TRUGREEN.   I actually was considering looking into using their service, but after receiving this huge amount of calls (with no messages left) in two days, and reading the other postings on this website, I think I will try another service.

I really don't understand people who run businesses like this.  They have a really poor business model if they think that massively harassing people will result in new customers.  I have a similar problem with ATT U-Verse, who have been harassing me for years, including sending salesmen to my home.  

Services that I might otherwise consider just rule themselves out when the start harassing me.

Good thing my phone has a 250 number call blocker and can block area codes (inc. 800 numbers) and ranges of numbers!

This company has called me three times today on my cell phone.  I answered the first call and the caller said I had called them for lawn service, which is a total lie.  I would never do this with my cell as I keep my number private and don't give it out to any business.  Where do these people come from?  I am on the do not call list for both my home phone and cell but still these pests persist.

Message reminding to sign and return new contract.  I use Trugreen service so this seems legitimate.

I just cancelled with this company.  I did not have to sign a contract, thank goodness.  Several things bugged me about them, one,  they could not even tell me what application they were going to apply until they got here and secondly they don't clean off your driveway or your patio so we have to do that, fertilizer everywhere.  The company said they don't clean off those, so that did it.  I am just going to hire myself, ha.

Cancelled TruGreen service 2 weeks ago as they charged me for a service I did not authorize for the 2nd time. I left their services prior several years ago for same reason but when spouse and I became disabled to do our own lawn care I went back to TruGreen. The sulfur granules/pellets which they applied 2 weeks ago are still visible! I called, gave the customer service rep and supervisor more than an earful.They pleaded for me not to cancel their service,even taking the unauthorized charge off my invoice,but I did not relent. They just called my cell phone a few minutes ago but I did not answer--I am blocking their number.
