Got a call from this number twice in less than 30 seconds.  Googled the first time so I was prepared.  Reena started asking me about my meat consumption and I told her that I was a vegetarian!  "The whole family??"  Yep....so funny to hear her at that point, she couldn't get off the phone fast enough

    I just got a call from LIA @ 18008789635
Same scam - Free meat, and the more I told her I didn't want anyone from their company here
she insisted on a call back, and that no one would just show up.
Very Pleasant the whole time, but kept saying the same thing over and over.  After reading all these comments I'm going to have an earful for that little hooker.

Received a phone call from Chris said he was calling from Small Ontario Farmers and he's doing a survey.  I asked him to repeat where he was calling from twice (he was extremely annoyed by the 2nd time)..He asked me what kind of meat I ate and if we buy from grocery store or butcher. I explained I eat very little to none.  He asked what the other members of the family ate. I said, "we don't eat meat".  After, a lengthy silence I was listening to a dial tone.   He did not go into his spiel of whatever he was calling about, so I really don't know why.   According to the other comments made here "if it was for free meat; my question is Where is that meat from" and then that's a whole new world of questions.

Direct Fine Foods is a COMPLETE scam. I was offered a position with them and when I went to the "training" it was absolutely terrible! They don't actually want to tell you that their company is Direct Fine Foods, they just want people to hear the words "local Ontario farmers". They have a list of what kinds of people they want to "help find healthier options". You have to have good credit, own your own home, have a food budget of over $125.00 a week, have meat for dinner 4+ times a week and so on. They're racist, they only want white families and they completely overcharge for their products. Don't fall for their scams. It's completely ludicrous. I was hired as an Appointment Coordinator but the trainer ended up driving me and two other women to a neighbourhood, dropped us off and made us go door to door and he LEFT. So we decided to leave and gave him a piece of our mind!!!!

**They use the words "local Ontario farmers" to make you think they're helping out the province but they are a PROFIT organization, all they care about is the $$$$$**

I've been with Direct Fine Foods for 6 months now.  I don't find that they overcharge for their items.  It is comparable or less than buying from the grocery store and the meat is a lot better.  I've never gotten ill from eating it, so their meat is not contaminated (as per previous posts).  And the meat does come from local Ontario farmers.  Direct Fine Foods is just the distributor for them. Maybe instead of dissing the company because you couldn't handle their line of work, you should have just quit and found another position.  If part of your job was door to door, then you shouldn't complain about it later on. Every company has standards as well.  They are potentially selling you thousands of dollars in meat and would like a guarantee that you will pay. Nothing wrong with making sure you have good credit.  And I think its ignorant of you to think that they only sell to "white folk".
And another thing, THEY are helping the farmers in our province get their product out.  Every company out there is for profit.  How else do you think you would have gotten paid for going "door to door"?

Indian voice asked for me by last name.  She said she was calling from "Generic Medicine".  Could this be the latest incarnation of the scam?

I worked for the London branch of the company and it is an absolute joke. They tell us not to tell the company name that we are not Nutrafarms, although their managers and cooperate office jerks are ex Nutrafarms employees, they base their business around Nutrafarms. Honestly Jessica you sounded as scripted as these door to door sales people. Why defend a sham business.

Actually... as far as the "they only sell to white folk" comment, they do, as an employee, we were told by the CEO Dominic to only sign up white families. No asain, Chinese, indian and the most racist of all and I quote "IF ITS BROWN, DONT WRITE IT DOWN". That quote came straight from the Ceos mouth.

I totally agree that it is a scam, Diane. I have been employed with the London branch of the "company" for 3 months now. Over 3 months with the company and I have yet to meet one of these farmers that they represent. Actually, I have watched them pull these free organic samples out of a freezer in the office. We have yet to be offered to try the meat... Why?

I agree with they only want white families. Day 1 of my employment with them, they told us, NO ASIAN, NO CHINESE, NO INDIAN and the most racist one of all "if it's brown, don't write it down"

They even laughed and joked about if it got out, how much trouble they would be in.

The business is a complete scam.
