Here's a fun one. I get a call from this number. Woman with accent rattles off something so quickly all I can understand is call back in 2-3 hrs. I replied  "I didn't understand a word you said". So a little slower she says they are having issues with their equipment for me to call back in 2-3 hrs. I just said sure, and hung up. I laughed and told my husband "that was Directv calling to say they couldn't talk to me". Lol

This little girl who can barely speak English identified herself as calling from Direct TV. We don't have Direct TV. I asked to be taken off the calling list and she wanted me to call a number she gave me to be taken off the calling list. I should not have to do that at all. If this is actually Direct TV and not a scam, the company should comply with a do-not-call request immediately, or they will surely never be considered if we ever should want TV services! Since this is a landline phone for a business I cannot block her calls.

I just got a call from a man with a very thick accent.. could barely understand him...he asks for my husband, I said, of course, this is his wife, he said are you a holder on this account, I say yes, and he proceeds to transfer me to some rude woman, however now I'm thinking I just said yes and he didn't even ask for my name and just took my word for it? Then the lady asks for my name, I said u guys called me, saying something regarding my account, aren't u supposed to know my name if u knew there's something up with my account, she said I didn't call u the man who transferred u to me did. So I said well what's this supposed issue with my account, she said I do ma'am that's why I'm asking ur name, well I said aren't u guys supposed to know this stuff before calling someone, I said so what's wrong with my account bc my bill is paid, on time, Everytime, and has been paid and is not due yet, so what's the issue...she said ok ma'am have a good day.

Don't call me if u don't have a clue as to what ur talking about,..I'm not stupid... And I'll drill u esp if I feel I'm being taken advantage of! Nice try but not today..not with me. 😉

Same 800 number, same guy with a thick foreign accent.  He had my name right, but asked me to hold for an agent.  I held on because the caller ID showed it was AT&T and it was an 800 number.  In truth it was AT T, not AT&T.

Following a brief hold, a recorded message thanked me for holding and said “my call” would be answered in the order it was received.  By that time I realized that I had responded to a scam call with a fake caller ID and a spoofed 800 number, so I hung up.

But, this was a first!  They put me on hold with a recorded message that said “my call” would be answered in the “order it was received.”  Is there no end to this insanity?  My bad for thinking the call was legit.  That will not happen again.  I usually hit the answer button and hang up immediately.  Does it help?  Probably not, but it makes me feel better!

called me and said i owe 250 immediately or they will disconnect, i logged into my online account while on the phone with them and a $0 balance was due. I assured them they have the wrong account, they then went ahead and gave my address and info! CRAZY! I pay my bills on auto draft, and i called my actual ATT/Direct tv provider and they said i was paid up and absolutely no issues. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM! Their calls are not recorded and they know your info so they sound convincing. When i asked her to break down the charges since my bill is only $89 she couldnt even come up with anything logical. Do not answer and DO NOT pay them until you verify with your provider and check your account.

Call all the time but never leaves a voicemail. So I don't mess with it.. Let's be honest here if this was really AT&T/Direct TV they would leave a message all the time.. but they don't and I'm not messing it so guess it's not that damn important. By the way I do owe direct TV money I'm purposely not paying tired of them.. and I've been receiving the email about the whole 50% off and blah blah bologna.  Come on we all know for a fact Direct TV isn't going to cut a deal especially 50% haha..

I work for AT&T, this is a SCAM call. Directv will NEVER call you behind a missing or late payment. Logically the company makes more money if your service gets suspended and you have to pay a reconnection fee. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS
