- Milly| 4 repliesI just got a letter from this particular credit place where this number came from. saying that i they cannot approve of my application.
- Caller: Trans Union Consumer Relations.
- BigA replies to Milly| 2 repliesTrans Union does not offer loans. Since this whole thread seems to be filled with nutty posts, I am thinking you are simply trying to join them. So unless you explain yourself, your post has been reported to a mod for deletion.

My application for a loan was denied because of my credit report. What can I do?
First, find out what caused the lender to turn you down.
If a lender or other institution denied your loan or took other adverse actions, like increasing your interest rate based on your credit report, it’s required to:
* Tell you it denied your application (or took other adverse actions)
* Provide you the numerical credit score it used in taking the adverse action and the key factors that affected your score
* Give you the name, address, and telephone number of the credit reporting company that provided the report
* Tell you about your right to get a free copy of your credit report from the credit reporting company that provided it within 60 days of your adverse action notice
* Explain the process for fixing mistakes or adding missing items to your report - William replies to BigAIf a loan business (bank, credit union, etc.) declines to make a loan, they have to give the name and contact information of the credit reporting agency they based their decision on. Milly's communication skills aren't as developed as ours are.
- William replies to BigAUnfortunately, TransUnion would very much like to charge people for that credit report :

- tmobilefinancialI did not receive a phone call
but I received a letter 2/19/2018 that has a reference number and reads when I requested service at T-Mobile. I did not request service at T-Mobile. So when I called the number 1-800-888-4213 they also wanted my SS number and birth date. I hung up. My letter is on T-MOBILE PAPER. Please be careful. To much fraud going on. - AuDogsWe get this letter monthly on Chase Bank letterhead that credit for a Amazon credit card was not approved. It states that we should contact Trans Union at 800-888-4213. The person its addressed to does not exist, but the address they're sending the notice to is ours. The reference number on the notice is 180718523658.
- JGI just received a denial from Marcus Goldman Sachs saying I was denied on May 3rd trough credit Karma. I never ran my credit. I called "transunion #" and it asks for all of my info. Scam???

- Nimrod replies to D.So, by that logic, every website on the internet that lists this particular number (including bbb.org and ftc.gov) has something to do with "it". I find your logic extremely flawed.
This site is merely a platform where people can report their experiences with calls from different phone numbers and look up the experienced reported by others; it has nothing to do with the numbers being reported.
Considering that you are replying to an almost 4-year old post, your post seems somewhat Trollish. - BigA replies to D.Yeah, I think the only troll that is lying here is you. 800notes is not sending out emails or spoofing Transunion's phone number. So it looks like you have failed once again at trying to denigrate this website. Fits in with the rest of your life where you have failed at everything you have ever tried. Now go crawl back under your rock troll and lick your wounds.
- JReceived a letter stating a PayPal credit account, that I never applied for, was denied. Was worried someone was using my account info via PayPal. The mail was written on one of my banks letterheads. When I contacted my bank directly they had no idea what I was talking about, the reference number on the letter didn’t exist, didn’t match their reference numbers.
Phony trans union number asked for ssn and birthdate to get a credit report sent.
Phone number on letter was 1800-888-4213. Seems to be a scam.- Caller: Trans union
