I got a call from 800-888-4328 on October 5, 2017 at 5:49 pm.  The caller did not leave a message even though my answering machine was on.  My caller ID said, "Toll free call," whatever that is supposed to mean.  Since I'm on the receiving end of the call why would I care if it's a toll-free call?  I don't and using 'toll free call' is stupid.  Maybe that's why they're called teledummies.

Why wouldn't any legitimate business use their real name for their ID?  If someone answers their phone isn't the caller going to tell the person on the other end who is calling?  I would think so.  And if the call was important enough to make in the first place wasn't it important enough to leave a short message?

I have been on the federal Do Not Call list for over ten years, not that it does much good.

If this continues I will block this caller using *60 on my AT&T line.  This way, my phone does not ring and the caller gets a message that my phone does not accept calls from their number.
