yes said it was Verizon and wanted pin number

I just got a call from them. I think it is a scam. No one should ever call you asking for a PIN. I just hung up on them.

Got 2 calls today. Saw the 800-888 and ignored

I got 2 calls from them today  Said they were Verizon and my account had been compromised, they were cutting off my service unless I entered my pin. I called Verizon and verify and it is a scam.  Apparently there are typically lots of scams when new iphones are released.

I got a call from this number this afternoon.  Caller name ID showed "Unknown Name".  Sounded like a recorded voice and said something like "Verizon Wireless account has a security flag.  Please enter your account PIN" .  I hung up and dialed 611 and got a customer support rep and reported it.  He verified that it was not one of their phone numbers and said that he'd report this to the fraud department.
