- Michael C.| 2 repliesJust had a call from 800-888-9617 the other day with the same crap. I've got both numbers blocked on my Verizon account management page.
Recorded message about $ I've won. B.S. - JillSame deal. Guess I got "lucky," since I have had calls from -9618 and -9617.
- Caller: verizon faker
- Ed| 1 replyI've now received a string of calls from "unknown" or "TX, USA" numbers, over the past few days (started on Tuesday 10/22/2013, 2-3 calls per day since).

I haven't answered any of the calls, nor have they left messages... just annoying as they come in around 2:00-3:30pm each day while I'm at work. - Bill replies to EdYou think that's bad I got calls from 800-888-9617 yesterday at 1:54 p.m. and 2:14 p.m. and then today I got calls from 800-888-9718 at 2:29 p.m. and 2:49 p.m. The problem is I work midnight to 8 a.m. and was asleep both times. Talk about irritating!

- Caller: VERIZON

- DCI just got the same call from 800-888-9618 directing me to go to vzw143.com and that I have some $175 credit or prize. I'm not THAT stupid. It's got to be a scam. It looks exactly like the real VZW home page, but I'm guessing the account login is to steal your info.
- Jamie| 1 replyThank you everyone for posting on this site. I have been receiving 2 calls, 20 minutes apart from 1-800-888-9618 and 1-800-888-9619 2-3 times a week for the past 2 weeks. I have not picked up and they have not left voicemails. It is extremely annoying and I know now that I should block them.

"You've won ... verizon... " whatever.
Scam. I hung up and will block the number.
If 10,000 people call their 800 number, they'd have quite a bill to pay. Assuming they're not crooks and scamming their own telco. - Asia replies to ANonieMouseI think she was just venting.
- marksame as a posting below....telling me to log on to some Verizon site and get a $200 discount. Sure right, I don't even have Verizon as my carrier.
- Caller: no idea/automated voice
- KJust got this call also thistime stating they are ATT and directing me to a budget hosting site. Obvious phishing attempt

- Jennifer replies to Michael C.| 1 replyI just received a call from the 800-888-9618 indicating that I owed them $603.00...I've never been with Verizon, the voice recording spoke so fast I really only heard something about that amount and billing me through my account or something??? Ugh
- sabaGot their call on my cell # that only 1 family member has. So they are just rolling the numbers to make a contact. Yes, 2 calls came in about 10 min. apart - how desperate all these nuts are. As if bugging you incessantly will make you be their customers.
- Caller: no name pests
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AliceJust got 2 calls from this number. A recorded creepy male voice that tells me that I've just won $603 that will be deducted from my Verizon account. All I have to do is access a website that sounds almost like a Verizon wireless site but will probably flood my computer with trojan horses or some other cyber threat. How do you stop these calls?
- Eilene| 5 repliesI got two calls within just a few minutes from 800-888-9618. I didn't really get the message but it was something about a redemption of $600+ I think they said from Verizon.
