- dajaMy mother-in-law received a vm from this number stating it was an emergency and they needed to talk to me. When she called them back because she thought something was wrong, they wouldn't tell her what it was about, but said they needed to talk to me. My mil said they were almost impossible to understand and had to have them repeat everything they said several times.

- Annoyed at United Bureau CollectionsThey leave voicemails saying that debt with their company is "defrauding a bank." - WRONG! There is nothing ILLEGAL about having debt... but rather the way they collect debt is ILLEGAL! I wouldn't be too afraid of them. At first I thought they were serious, now I get a call from them every day- each day they want to seem more serious about going ahead and suing me. I think I'll have a case against them violating the Fair Debt Collection Laws. Now Good Luck to you United Bureau.

- MacfrugalI added a new line to my Cellularone account this week for my Mom and she started getting voice mail messages from this number with a reference #50881552 concerning a Jeffery Eades. I called Cellularone Customer Care and was advised to call this phone number on my land line (NOT ON A CELL PHONE) and tell them the number they are calling is a newly assigned cell phone number, Jeffery Eades never had this number and to put this number on their DO NOT CALL LIST. I called the 1-800-890-8738 and spoke to a Mr. Peters. I advised him of the situation and he stated they would stop the phone calls! When I asked the name of this collection agency, Mr. Peters said it was UCB. I was advised by Cellularone to report this number to the FCC if the calls continued. I also went on line and again registered my Mom's cell phone number with DO NOT CALL REGISTRY but cell phone numbers entered do not take affect for 31 days. If this company calls her again....I will fill out a complaint with the FCC and they will get a hefty fine!! BEFORE CALLING ANY CALL BACK NUMBER LEFT ON YOUR PHONE.... BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE NUMBER FIRST TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE NUMEROUS PHONE SCAMS. You can do this on line on this website. I hope this information helps others who are dealing with this annoying situation.
- GI got a call, not sure what the number that called was as it came up Private. I didn't answer as I have stopped answering numbers I don't recognize. Anyways they left a message, in the message they mentioned me by name and said they had a case that had been referred to them this morning. Didn't event mention what company that they were with. Last I heard a legit collections agency, while couldn't discuss a debt with anyone but you, had to at least say who was calling.
Somehow I expect this to be fraud. I know who my debts are with and none of them are with this company. And I know they can't be trying to collect on an old debt as all of them fall outside the the Statute of Limitations for the state of Missouri, which is 10 years. So if their trying to collect on those their doing it illegally. - GGot another call today. Again I didn't answer. Again left a message. The first time there was someone on the other end as it sounded like a live person. This time it was an automated system. In fact it wasn't actually leaving a message. When the answering machine picked up it started its recorded message. I know it started before the beep as the first part of the message was cut off.
I am beginning to wonder though if one of the collection agencies, one of my accounts was with, has been sold the account to this bunch. I sent a cease and desist letter two weeks ago to United Recovery Systems for their illegal tactics and haven't heard from them in a week now.
I will find out. Any Debt Collector is supposed to send out something in the mail within five days after first contact or attempt thereof. If I receive nothing in the mail by this time next week I would say that it is likely to be fraud. - LeeI just got her call. I'm an International student, and I don't even have a SSN. She left her number in my voice mail box, but she didn't mention why she called.
It is 1-800-890-8738, extension 3713. - BippiI received a call from 800-890-8738, this is from United Collection Bureau (UCB) their phone number is apparently outside of 48 states. They referred me to a girl, she transferred me to a Mr. Garcia, who just transferred me to a Sandra Myers (debt collections) Her phone # is 800-761-5394 ext. 6360. I had a $40.00 charge from Sears, when I called them, they said they closed the account and Collection Bureau's go in and buy accounts for a very small cost. The Collection Bureau's then go after people to collect money, which they are tacking on large service fees. They work on Commissions.
