    Century Link verifying my purchase of a new DSL modem. At least I think that's what it was. Recorded message did not wait for my voice mail to kick in. Only got the last half of the message.

     At first I thought this was another marketer or scammer.  I answered, but didn't say anything (I usually don't on these types of calls) and a recorded message saying they were from CenturyLink to advise me that there were changes made to my account online.  It just so happens that I (re)added an account the day before because they had recently changed their website, and apparently it didn't carry over my old account information.
     Soooooo, it was a legit call from CenturyLink, making sure that it was me that made the changes online.  Good for CenturyLink, it would be nice if everyone gave security notices.....

    I will have to take the word of the people above.  Called the number back and it was a very garbled message, that I could not understand.  I do wish Century Link would not come up not provided as the caller and release their name for caller ID's.

    When I call back this number it's a number for something you order called Focus P325 nothing to do with Centurylink who I also called and they said they hadn't called me and no changes were made to my Centurylink account. Maybe someone spoofed the number on my caller id. The number showed up with unknown caller.

    Rcvd call at 11:22 AM EST.  Automated call that started running before my answering machine could even answer.  Something about call to confirm Centurylink account changes.  When calling the number back it says something about calling the Focus T25 orderline and then attempts to run you through a menu to get you to a sales rep who will try to fleece you of information and money.

    Got about 9 calls on July 28th from this number. Caller ID  shows caller name not provided. I called this number and it is a recording that says you have  called the Focus T25 order line. Figured it was a scam. Hung up. The last call I got from this number I had a chance to answer. It was an automated message saying it was Century Link  calling about changes made to your account and to call customer care at a 1-866 number to confirm them. Did  not call that number. They are trying to get account info from you. There were no  changes made to my account, and I confirmed that by calling the Customer Service number listed on my monthly statement from Century Link. I do not trust these calls that come from a number that shows the caller' s ID unknown or not provided. They are probably Scams!

    Received a call from someone claiming they were from Century Link. They stated my account had been updated by either password, billing and/or service address address. I was instructed to contact them at #866-895-6405 if I hadn't authorized these changes. This number was not recognized with caller ID.
    I called Century Link & they said this was not their number.
