- GayleNot a phone call but a notification on my computer that unusual sign in activity from Russia, IP address 249.36.18.92. I am hoping this really is a Microsoft security number. I have Web security on my computer, and it didn't detect any problems. Just in case, I changed my passwords on my computer.
- Caller: emailed by Microsoft account support team
- RickPretty sure this is a scam. I didn't call the number, but the message was in my spam file, saying Microsoft had noticed some unusual sign-in from Russia. I deleted it without calling.
- Caller: Microsoft (haha)
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Rick replies to HarrietteIt's not Microsoft. See my message below. Same as what you received. Message was in my spam file, with a message at the top from AOL saying the links had been disabled.

- Robert Hottinger replies to FrankMessage telling me that my Microsoft Windows license had been revoked. Someone had been accessing child porn on my computer. To call 1-800-910-1740 to get license back. I have never accessed any pornography on my computer. I am having no problem with my OS. So it has to be spam. Did not even have my email address correct, don’t know how I even got the email. Did not call the number just deleted the message.
- PhilI have received the same email as Rick at least 10 times (several times to call this number, other times had different numbers). Today I received a message from "Microsoft Support" telling me that my Windows license was being cancelled because child pornography had been accessed from my computer (which is ridiculous),and if this wasn't me to call this number. Today however they goofed and whoever sent the email forgot to hit blind carbon copy and this message was sent to 501 people (including me).
