- Tiger| 6 repliesthey said they had found that the local government owed us money
- Caller: JTV
- John| 2 repliesI get the same calls. These call cost them almoust nothing but the persons time. If you want nothing and hang up they win. The key is to keep them on the phone as long as possible, then the cost goes up. Every few seconds is another call they could have made. If I have nothing to do I keep them on the phone as long as I can. I agree to everything and get details of everything until it's time to pay. Then I put them on hold to go get the payment. After a few of these unproductive 5-10 minute calls it will either become too unproductive to continue or they will get pissed with the people playing their own game and quit the job. If we all do it they will loose big money. Please repost this everywhere you can
- Alice| 4 repliesI got the call that he said the city government owe me money. Should I give it a try. It looks like no obligation to me. It claimed that they are listed with BBB.

The call you got seems pretty "phishy" to me. It's most likely that you could find if there is any money owed to you by the local or federal government yourself by finding legit government run sites (I think they all end with a .gov) via Google or another search engine. Remember to ALWAYS be careful with your info on the internet and the phone, there are just far too many scammers and schemers out there nowdays, sad to say. Happy searching and best of luck to you!! :) - Professional Finders Inc replies to Tiger| 4 repliesI am the principle of Professional Finders, Inc. This is our number. - Tweet replies to John FiglionaThis is not a scam. These people do business in my city. It is completely legitamate.
- LAMETBETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AFFILIATION MEANS NOTHING.
BBB does not accurately report against dues paying members. BBB sides with dues paying member ripping off innocent victims.
Read all about why the BBB cannot be trusted. http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/001/ripoff0001343.htm - albertThis business is 100% legit. Any lawyer will advise you if this. Professional Finders recovered $12,000.00 for me that my company over looked. I can't understand how people say its a scam but do not do the proper research to see that its actually very safe. If you get a call from this company you have nothing to worry about, THIS IS REAL!!!
- Debbie| 1 replyI finally signed up with this company for a claim and then learn all of the preliminary info they told me (where the funds were, how much, how long it had been there) were way off. I have tried and tried to call them and email them. I see today, their mail is being returned by the PO, and the BBB has revoked their membership and given them a D- rating. I wish you, Mr. Brandon Childers, or your rep, Susan Barnes would contact me to tell me what is going on!

- Dan replies to scarlettjoie| 1 replyscarlettjoie,
Don't know if you already signed those docs but if you haven't than you really need to. My name is Dan an I have my own construction company. A few months ago I was contacted by a rep from this company advising me that I was owed aprox $6,000 from a local county in V.A. at first I thought it was to good to be true but after I took those docs to my brother who is also a attorney he let me know that I have nothing to lose since they only work on a contingency basis an they do not want any personal info from me. After I signed the docs an faxed them back one of their reps contacted me back an advised me the details on the money. Come to find out it was a old utility bill that I ended up overpaying on the first year I started my company. If it wasnt for these guys contacting me I would've never known my money was out there. Two months later my money was sent directly to me an I than send the company there finders fee. TRUST ME YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE - LAMET replies to scarlettjoie| 2 repliesAsk an attorney to review the docs before you sign them. -many will do a free consult or small fee
IF you are due money - you need to find out from where - without paying them 30%!
I would be suspicious of anyone posting that they were pleased or happy with their services..
Scammers like to place FALSE postings.
Only problem - HAPPY CUSTOMERS never look for complaints about a company on these boards.
no reason to look up this number to see what people are saying if they SO HAPPY - Rick482 replies to LAMETWell if I got a call saying there was money owed to me I wouldnt think its true, but than if they ended up being legit I can picture me looking up how many people who were actually skeptical an missed out on money that was still owed to them. I agree there are alot of scams out there but I dont think its ok just to assume it is without taking time to look into it.
- alice replies to Brandon ChildersI did try. Professional Finders, Inc did find some money for me and ask me to claim it. I never heard from them again. I called a few times and found out nothing. It is a lesson to learn.
- alice replies to scarlettjoie| 3 repliesI did it and got nothing. They probably pocket the money. Don't try it. Waste your time.
- Wayne replies to alice| 1 replyThis firm contacted me 2 months ago saying there was money owed to my business. I own a small grocery store in Florida. I signed there papers they had faxed to me an they than contacted me back giving me the details on it. They informed me of the actual county where my money was being held which abled me to contact this county and stay updated. Did they inform you of where your money was being held at? If not Im sure you can call them and request that info so you can then contact the county an the county can let you know if it has been cashed or not. I dont see how they could have pocketed your money if the check is not addressed to them, I never heard of a bank who cashes checks to a third party. The county can inform you if that has been released or not.
