Received a garbled, barely decipherable prerecorded message about a $22 credit on my next Verizon bill.  I just need to go to a very legitimate (that's sarcasm there) website and enter some information. From reading about the same scam from very similar phone numbers, they're trying to get personal information and at the very least gain access to your account. Don't give them your PIN or last four digits of your Social Security number. I've never had Verizon as a cellular provider and I received this call on my cell phone.

Caller was foreign not American number 800-922-0022, said his name was Jeffrey Sosa from Verizon fraud called on Sunday said someone was trying to buy an iPhone with my Verizon account I hung up before I gave him any information.  Sent me a similar text from so-called Verizon with a number when I asked for proof he was from verizon

You should be able to dial 611 from your cell phone and connect to the actual Verizon help desk.  They should be able to help you from there.

Scam. A garbled electronic message said “Dear Verizon wireless customer, your account has been suspended for verification, to reactivate your account using the automated system press one, to speak to a representative press two”
