this is bulls***. they want you to login to att43.com and get a virus.

Fact: Received on my cell phone from an unknown caller. Computerized voice telling me AT&T was "rewarding me" with $43 off my next bill which I could "claim" by "logging into my account" through the att43.com site.

Opinion: I think they are aiming for straight-up identity theft. Once they log into your account they get your address, bank account info if you auto pay, etc. If you are like a lot people who use the same username and password for everything, they'll just skip all that and go straight to cleaning out your bank accounts.

I got the same call just now, they wanted my verizon pin and last four digits of my ssn. said that my account is suspended. If my account is suspended, how the heck are you calling me on the suspended number, scammer!?!?!

They get that information and then go to a Verizon store and report your phone as lost or stolen.  They then purchase several very expensive phones on your account.  You don't know until you go to make a call and the phone is disconnected.

Attempted scam-why would verizon call me at 10:00pm on Christmas Day to tell me my account has been suspended?

Same thing happened to me around 10pm on Christmas. Avoided the call entirely, my samsung phone listed it as "likely spam"

Left a voicemail claiming my Verizon account is suspended, haven't done business with Verizon in over a decade. Definitely fraud

Got a similar message today...saying my phone was disabled and needed my credit card # to verify my account. Said was disabled because I had 3 Apple watches and an Apple iPhone 10 which I didn’t pay for.... Never purchased such items...  Could tell it was a SCAM.. and when I hung up they kept calling back,...

Received a call from this number just a moment ago. Scam!

said from Verizon and due to pending service interruption they wanted to give me $45 credit on next bill.  call lost.  called back from 760.389.7438 and continued line of BS.

Said because phone, text and internet would be impacted.  told them didn't have internet.  Should have know that if real.  Then sent me a text and wanted me to text back.  said no and they hung up.  total scam  can you imagine calling all Verizon customers?  don't bite.

Said that Verizon is doing work on line /moving cell tower tonight 10PM-2Am and he will send me a code to use if not working after 2am and will give me $43 credit on my bill for this. when i s questioned how do i know you are from verizon and not a scam, he hung up! Clearly a scam! I worry about people for fall for it.. especially seniors....

I googled the 800 number that called me and was led here.

Received a recorded message telling me my account was suspended hung up, knew it was a scam always pay my bills

Same computer call saying my account is suspended and to press a # to speak to a rep.

Same call, saying that my Verizon account was suspended. I don't think so. Called the number back for fun. I could have been entered for a Caribbean cruise for answering a three-question survey. So much for being on the No-Call list.

Scammers don't care about the DNC list.
