    I got a call saying I was rewarded money and I can look at my account at (I think) www.myverizon.com. I am unsure if it is real.

    I've gotten the same message two months in a row.  It's some sort of scam and I wouldn't recommend going to the website they directed you to.  Verizon's online account system is through verizon.com not myverizon.com...

    It is a scam designed to trick you into revealing your Verizon Wireless account username and password. Once they have it, they will login to your account, change the password and add their own devices to run up thousands in fraudulent charges before you find out and regain control of your account.  The site is a "cybersquatting" site designed to look like a real Verizon site.  It passes the username and password to the real site for verification and captures them in the process for use later.
