There is a debit of $68.50 on our online bank statement with the notation; "HE-GOVERNMENT PAYMENTS 8009263466."  Puzzled, I checked out the website by using that info and after looking at our statement again, I realized that my husband had used his debit card when he renewed the tags for my truck.  Legit charge, but it did freak me out until I figured out what the charge was for. I hope this helps someone else.

Forgot to mention ... our county uses Hamer Enterprises to process debit/credit payments.

I checked my bank statement and Hamer enterprises deducted 428.75. I've no idea why but want this transaction STOPPED immediately. FYI to anyone, please check your statements monthly.

If you have not searched your dealings with any local/state agency as noted by others, then your recourse is to go directly to your card issuer - you will not get any help here except this advice - do that contact quickly but be sure it truly is not legitimate as the process the issuer will do is cancel your current card and issue a new one

This is legit.  It is the County Tax/Tag/Title office charge...of $13.00
for our temporary handicapped placard; broken leg.  All checks out!

It sure helped me out cause I was freaking out when I saw it on my online bank account so I googled the numbers that were on the bottom and TX next to them and found web site and when I clicked on it saw your post and started reading it and that's when it came to me that I had renewed my wife's car tags on that date ! I really think that it is interesting that you and that shill both renewed tags on the same date.  I have to wonder though why your bank waited 5 months to deduct the money from your account.
