- Unhappy CustomerThis is a toner scam company.
They called asking what copier our company used and sent toners for it and an invoice charging an obscene amount for them!
Package was rejected but they kept calling back trying to sell their toners.- Caller: Elmo Data Supply

- Scam BusterYes they called and spoke to an employee at one of our properties and sold him a defective toner for his fax machine at $350 a piece and $50 in shipping. I advised him that the toner was defective and would be returned to them and we would not be paying the invoice since it was not approved by our corporate office.
He advised me that he would not accept the return because the Manger didnt say it was defective. I advised him that I would not be caring or approving this payment and considering the toners can be bought at $30 each elsewhere.
This is a scam, and these people need to be blocked from getting business licenses and such. They targeted our non-english speaking manager, and he had no idea even when they had a translator come on and explain to him what was going on.- Caller: Elmo Data Supply
- JessicaSomeone from Elmo Supply called from a private number and asked to speak w/ the person who orders the toner. They said that they needed to get our machine number and information so they could send us new toner, that it was at the same discounted price and that the account was already set up. They asked for a PO and she told them that she didn't have one. At some point in the call, they asked for her birthday and decided to use that as a PO number and sent us toner. When we called and said we didn't order that, they then sent us a bill for a $79.98 restocking fee.
When I called about this, the guy started explaining things even though he didn't have my account info or invoice in front of him. He had Mike call me back. He was rude, spoke over me, called the Admin in our other office despite me saying I spoke to her. I told him he needed to send a label to have the toner sent back. He argued and tried to defend his company after I told him I saw what a scam they were in my research. I told him I wanted him to provide me with the info needed to send this back and then I didn't want him his company contacting us ever again. He then got a "supervisor" on the phone as I told him I didn't want to continue speaking about this. He told the supervisor that I wouldn't let him speak and then hung up on me.
Mike was completely rude, condescending, argumentative, and ultimately the WORST "customer service" I have ever seen. I asked him if his company would pay for an invoice that didn't have one of their authorized purchase order numbers on it or a hard copy PO, complete with legal jargon, and he told me that wasn't the point. They asked for a PO and she didn't have one, they "had to cover themselves" so they got her birthday. My co-worker informed me that they didn't tell her they were using that for a PO and that it was for reference so they can pull up the order. I asked how they thought this was a reasonable way to do business, but he kept dodging the questions and asking why my employee gave him that that info if not to place an order.
In my research, it is apparent that this happens to other people and that this is a telemarketing scam.- Call type: Telemarketer
