I just got a call from this number.  She SAID she was from Pitney Bowes, wondering if I needed supplies.  Only I don't have that number listed in my Rolodex.....It's not even close to the numbers I have for them. I don't trust anyone that calls anymore - too many scammers!!!

I just received one of those calls, too.  We always order our supplies online and never had anyone call us from Pitney Bowes asking us to re-order our ink.  She said she was with Pitney Bowes.  I didn't believe it for a minute.

We had this number call us asking to order from Pitney Bowes - we always order on the machine so I knew this was a scam. The lady gave me extension 5176 and did not sound like she knew what she was talking about!

These are legitimate calls from Pitney Bowes - it is our Outbound Supply Sales group and they are calling to ensure customers don't run out of supplies.  They will be able to confirm any previous orders and any of your account information with Pitney Bowes.  You could also call the Pitney Bowes Supply line at 800-243-7824 and be transferred to the representative if you don't trust the 800-940-1068 phone number.

I take it you've somehow never heard of phone number spoofing?
