    Why is 800-940-1246 calling me?
If you've received a call from 800-940-1246, it's a member of the Midland Credit Management team calling from one of our offices.

You posted in two different threads within 1 minute of each other using different screen names.  That makes your posts suspicious to begin with.  But then I guess you are trying to hide from the debt collector?

Debt collector, don't bother blocking them, they simply call from another1-800  number the next time & they never leave a message on my voice mail.  They're full of poof when they say it's coming from one of their offices unless they've got hundreds of offices all running hundreds of 1-800 numbers, since I owe nobody, and they don't leave any messages, I'll never pick it up or call the number back as I have no guarantee it's not really just some scammer in India.

Then I guess that you are destined to enjoy all the calls because you are so terrified of talking to them or of doing anything to stop the calls.  Generally speaking people that are that terrified actually do owe money and are trying to dodge them which I think in your case is the actual truth.

They might be scammers who buy old debts, but they are still in business.

Probably Midland Credit. I did have debts many years ago but statutes of limitations has expired due to age of debt. They still call every so often. No message. I just ignore and delete number.

You should probably take the time to learn what the Statute of Limitations actually is as the debt didn't really "expire" in 47 states.
