- jayThey have called several times and left no messages. I star 67'd and called it back later in the evening. The recording stated they were from the Special Olympics and were closed at that time but said to call 866-544-4880. I did and a recording said the customer service reps were busy with other callers and to please wait. I waited a minute or two and customer rep. Charles asked if he could help me. I then told Charles that I had information that his vehicle's warranty was about to expire and if he could give me his information now he could be eligible for an amazing deal on extended warranty coverage. Charles hung up on me.

- TracyJust received a call from this number. From previous posts I can guess that they didn't leave a message. I don't answer unfamiliar numbers or numbers that show as unavailable on the caller ID. Really tired of calls like this though...get enough calls from MIFOP. Right now though, we're more willing to donate towards the cost of a classmate of my 7 yr old's funeral than anyone calling that won't leave a message or take no for an answer.
- Caller: Unavailable
- MessagelessIf you are not willing to show who you represent, it must not be important enough. Stop calling if you can't leave a message.

- dmc replies to Special EdI got tired of daily calls from this number, so I answered it last night. The man identified himself as calling from Special Olympics, but also mentioned "Dial America". He started his dialogue with "I'm not asking for a donation...." then started talking about a magazine subscription. It just so happens that I have volunteered for Special Olympics in big and small ways in my community for over 20 years. When the representative used the word "we" in his sales pitch, as if he was part of Special Olympics, I asked if he had ever volunteered....of course he had not. I told him, in a nice tone of voice, about my involvement Special Olympics and that the daily phone calls were excessive and that I would appreciate being place on the do not call....click!! HE HUNG UP ON ME!! I did call back and was able to speak with a customer service rep, who, by the way, answered the phone "Special Olympics". I told her about the situation and hopefully was successful in being placed on their do not call list. More than anything, I object to the fact that these folks are misleading people to believe that they are from "Special Olympics".
