Call is from a Asset Recovery department. The individual was as rude as rude could be. She was informed not to call anymore. The phone callscontinue to come in, most of the time with an automated message.

I just received a call from this number also, and she is verrrry rude!!! I hung the phone up in her face. I have no idea why she is calling I don't have anything negative on my credit report (in the last 10 years). I think they're creditors trying to pull up old stuff. So beware Don't answer!!!!!!!!!

I have no old debt. My Credit report is clear. These people call every day even on weekends. Have asked them repeatedly to stop calling my number. Very rude!!! Calling police next to see what I can do to stop these people at Portfolio Recovery Asset. Their home office is in Virginia.

I agree with how annoying this robo caller can be.  If it is a collection agency and you have good credit, then contact your State Attorney's office after keeping track of the number, the name or type of company, etc. There may be a form online you have to fill out for them. The State Attorney's office has a right to investigate and to fine these companies and demand they remove your name from their calling list. I've done this twice, and the St Atty's office sent me a cc of the letter they sent the agency. In my case, someone in debt keeps giving my number,which may have been hers in the past.

Call at 8 AM.  Identified herself as "Asset Recovery Dept", insisting that I am at this number under a name that was eliminated by marriage 12 years ago.  She said that I owe "Core States" $7000 on a Visa and that I live or lived in Park Ridge, IL.  I have never lived in that town (city?) and have never had such a Visa.  She offered to "look it up" if I would provide the last four digits of my SS#.  I hung up.
