I have not received a call from them, but I was just charged $9.55 on a credit card I have not used in a long time.  This phone number is the reference for the charge and all it says is "ONLINE GROUP, NJ".  I am about to call my bank to dispute it.  Has anyone else seen a strange charge to their credit card?

Yes!!  I just got a charge of $9.55 on an Amazon.com Visa credit card that I haven't used probably in more than a year because we decided to cut down on the number of credit cards we have.  The reference for the charge was exactly the same as the reference on your statement: ONLINE GROUP 800-940-9589.  When I called the customer service number 1-888-247-4080, their computer told me that there was an additional charge of $11.49 made on September 4 and that both charges were for "data transfer" and "computer networking."

I've had 2 $9.50 charges from the same company. I filed a dispute with the bank and they removed the charges.

I got charged 9.55 on Monday on a card I have not used for any online purchases for more than a year. However, I was attempting to make a purchase on Amazon, and Amazon Payments, all which failed, but did appear to just keep looping and not finalizing. Funny thing is I was not using  this card for the purchase, but Amazon has it on file. I wonder if Amazon has been hacked. Anyone else used Amazon lately?

Had debit on October 10, 2008 from "On-line Group US" for $9.50. Shows toll free number(800) 940-9589.  Bank is disputing for me.  Bigger issue is nationwide credit/debit card fraud.  Apparently the person(s) behind this must think that since they steal a "piddle amount" , this low life criminal thinks he/she will just collect a bit here and there (from those consumers who don't notice) and will "give back" to those who do.  Probably believes no state attorney general will investigate (not worth $9.50).  I did a reverse toll free number look-up and the number is linked according to ta phon ebook resource to VCom Solutions, Inc. CEO Gary Storm.  Company apparently performs internet services for smaller telecommunication companies, ISP providers, etc.  I find it interesting tht a number of comsumers who were similary victimized report they think it is "Capitol One", "Amazon", "Pinnacle Insurance", etc.  Maybe it is none of these but rather a third-party internet service provider (hmmm???)or perhaps this "data solutions" company posing as its clients.  If the phone number is not ViaComs, maybe the CEO can get to the bottom of this.  For me, I am filing a complaint with the state attorney general and with the federal Securities and Exchange Commission and providing your commments in hope both agencies will see it is a much bigger national banking fraud matter.

$9.45 was charged to my credit card.  The only contact information given was "online group" and this telephone number with NJ behind it.  When I called to inquire about the charge that I knew nothing about, all I got was a computer recorded message stating, "your call has been forwarded to an automatic voice messaging system.  Sorry but no one can take your call right now.  Please leave you message after the beep." Left message but sorry I did.
I'm requesting my credit card reverse charge I knew nothing about.  Beware of this phone number.

Back on Oct 15th got a $9.50 charge on my checking account statement from a POS online purchase I did not make, the same as the rest of the victims. Called the 800#, got the same voice mail message, too. Reported to my bank today and had card froze- also gave them this site to look at also. How does someone get our #'s? What do we all have in common to get our #'s?? I have a capital one credit card but my checking was affected ?? I have never shopped Amazon.

    Got ripped Off Too
I got the same charge on my debit card. Definately appears they are scamming tons of people. If there are a dozen people that have posted to this forum in the last month, then there is likely hundreds, if not thousands of others that have not noticed or not thought to search google for the 800-940-9589 number that shows on the statement.

My credit card was charged $9.45 in mid-Oct. My credit card company is removing the charge after my dispute. FYI, when I called the 800# today (Nov. 17) a message said that it's disconnected. A pox on the jerks!
