I've been getting calls from this toll free # for a week. Who is it?

my wife agreed to help collect of American Institue for Cancer Research and this is the phone number given if want any help etc. 800 941 2427 so is this a scam?

Got a call from this number, no caller id.  Since it was unsolicited and they didn't provide their caller id, I assume it's a scam or political or charity appeal.  Legitimate businesses would identify themselves or leave a message.

I got a call from unknown # today.  They said my  husband had agreed to mail envelopes for cancer.  I didn't think he would do that, so asked for their number.  They gave me 800-941-2427.  I called husband who said they had called him previously using the name of a company he works for, so he agreed to mail FOUR envelopes for cancer in the name of his the company he had worked for.  This makes no sense to me, but I will follow up with more information as we figure this out.
