if usaa call you ask them what is the problem, then you call back the official numbers on the web or the card. never answer questions when they call you. remember these people doing the fraud read this too. so you will be advise to trust the phone calls.

today 12/6/2015. I received a text stating; USAA: an account was added to my list of accounts available for funds transfer. If I didn't authorize this please call 800-292-8995... I don't have a USAA account!

My wife received a text message asking if she had done a transaction which asked for a Y or N response. She ignored it and got another text to call this number, 800-951-4539. I called it and the auto-attendant sounds like any other USAA number, the person who took the call sounded like a native English speaker. Nevertheless, I hung up and called the main USAA phone number, 800-531-USAA. I asked the person who answered if the 800-951-4539 number was a USAA number. She looked -- apparently at a two page document vs. doing a search of USAA phone numbers -- and said it was not on her list. Well, it apparently is a legitimate USAA number. I am disappointed that a person who answers at the main number can't tell me if a phone number is legitimate. Of course, the best course of action is to just call the main USAA number which I know to be a real USAA number and get transferred to the appropriate department from there.

You dredged up a thread that has been dormant for 9 years to tell us that this is a "legitimate" phone number?  Right, and the cow jumped over the moon that is made out of Bleu cheese.  You should have paid attention in school so that you could have gotten an honest job instead of shilling and stealing from people.
