I would like to know who owns this phone number.  I was charged for costs of 100.00 on my credit card and do not  know what or who it is from.

My credit card statement shows a charge of $6.45 on August 21st, 2013 with the title of "AMERICAN EXPRESS SERVE  800-954-0559  FL".  I don't know who or what this is but I'm ticked off.

This Phone number is American Express Serve Card.

AMERICAN EXPRESS-SERVICE A PREPAID CC

has to do w users of amex serve debit cards - they sent out unrequested replacement cards and now for those of us who did not activate them, they are calling to say it is to combat fraud, please activate. As we have had the card for several years now, and their message was true where we are concerned, I would say it's a (at the moment) legitimately used phone number.

I received an email stating my American Express account statement was ready to view except I don't own that card. It is a scam. Do not fall for it.

I got a similar email. Did you contact them? I don't have an Amex either so I am wondering if this is related to some promo from verizon or something?

received an email, about my account has zero balance, and I was being charged $4.95 + add'l  $0.25. called this number and the rep asked for my 4 digit ssn and also date of birth. I refused. he said he could not help any further. he said it is for a prepaid card, which I never owned. it might be a scam, or Amex being desperate after Costco divorce. it was a very disturbing email, we always tried to be careful with our finances.
