800-954-0897

Received a call from 800-954-0897 saying they were from Consumers Energy.  However, upon lookup I found it was from a Florida number.  I don't think that Florida would be calling Consumers Michigan customers.  Caller said they had my account number.  How does this happen?  

Got a call from this number, did not answer, they left no message on machine.  Called it back.  Spoke to a very nice lady from Consumers Energy that explained it is a subcontractor for consumers energy offering an appliance protection plan with the first month free.  She apologized for them not leaving a message.  Told her I wasn't interested and hung up.

Received call from 800-954-0897. "Selling" appliance warranties through Consumers Energy. Really? I asked them for their number so I could "think" about it and call back. They gave the number 800-477-5050 which is the number to Consumers Energy.

Same call as others, selling appliance insurance. I told her I was not interested and put me on their do not call list. We will see how that works.

I get offers with my bill for this "service," why do they need to call me.
It's a scam because I tell them "stop calling" and they "take me off their list."
Next thing you know ... they're calling again.

They have taken me off of their list several times.

Is that like this old joke? "Quitting tobacco is easy. I've done it a dozen times!" Maybe you need a permanent solution, like a notice on paper sent to these hustlers via USPS Certified with return card.

This really is Consumer's Energy calling but they are trying to sell appliance warranties. Although we are on the useless "do not call" list they are allowed to call if you are a customer, which we are. And they are calling from Michigan. We have a summer home there. The lady i spoke to was very pleasant and said she would take our number off the solicitations list. I believe her.

So Consumers Power of MI is pimping out our phone numbers, eh? Unfortunately I'm stuck with CP, but they are about to get an earful of ugly from me!

This telephone number comes up every morning at 8:30 am.  I am a senior person and this is very disturbing as I do not answer telephone numbers I don't recognize on my caller ID.  I will call Consumer Energy and register a complaint with them.  

I got called by this number today. No message was left. If this is Consumers selling appliance insurance, I just booted one of their salesman off of my porch last Saturday because he ignored the, "No Solicitors," sign that I have posted on the front door. I guess they do not take No for an answer. Thanks for sharing your experiences with Consumers.

I also received the first call from 800-954-0897 May 20, 2014. I did not answer my phone and no one left a message. I looked the number up on the internet and found this site. Next time anyone receives such calls tell them you will consider further calls as a phone harrassment and you will call the police or call your local news and report such phone harrassment and make sure you tell them who is making the calls. Sometimes it is the same people with different phone numbers. Always write down the number that shows on your phone if you have caller ID. Then look up the number or area code on the internet. I received a call from a 118 area code and found out it was from England!!!!

This "toll Free Number" company sure must be BIG! I get tons of calls from them,about just anything.
Hey IDIOTS...you want people to answer the phone...IDENTIFY yourself....Best yet...I didn't call you....DON'T CALL ME!

I get calls from this #. I don't trust them. They do not identify them selves. Just toll free.

Idiots that call us and do not ID themselves are just plain rude and stupid if they think we will answer them to talk...Prople respond on here saying this is Consumer's Energy...sub-let out..selling Appliance Insurance...ID yourself...not this Toll-Free crap! THEY GOT THE SIREN!
