This is a SCAM number reporting to be Capital One. DO NOT CALL THEM!

Not a scam, it is Cap1 customer service

I thought they were capital one and gave them info.  Hope I was right.

I was given a number to call from this number on a voicemail saying someone tried to open an account in my name. The number is 855-522-7663. I called it and they asked for my birthdate to verify my identity, not thinking I gave it to them. I called capital one from their website and low and behold it was not capital one calling me. Be cautious about what information about yourself you give over the phone.

Fraud -- do not provide any information. Confirmed w/ Capital One Customer Relations. Fraud. Confirmed.

Just verified with Capital One, that it's NOT their number. I gave them the phone number and they called it themselves. Needless to say, they are going to do a legal investigation, as Capital One's Official Answer is, "SCAM, do NOT give them your information". ~November 16, 2017.

FOLKS - This number is A SCAM! Capital One ALWAYS answers with "Name and I am in the Tampa, FL (or Richmond, VA) call center" - when I called this number back, he was Indian, truthfully in 10 years I have NEVER spoken to anyone with an Indian accent. When I repeatedly asked him what call center he was in, he finally told me Central America.
Their intro recording sounds VERY legit, but it is NOT Capital One.

NO IT IS NOT.

Voicemail said she was Vivian from the Executive office of Capital One and to call 1-800-955-1455 with a PIN # and ext. #. which she gave me. Number showed as Unavailable on my phone so I was suspicious and called the number on the website.  After 20 minutes of conversation with Customer Service and they could not identify Vivian I told the CS rep that I would not be answering this type of call and would not call back number.

I JUST had the same thing happen to me this morning from "Mike" so instead of calling it, I emailed Cap. One the number. In fact, it was 7455 instead of 1455 but the guy "Mike" said to call back at 1455 (my first wtf moment). Yeah, this stuff is getting ridiculous.

Got a call from this number at 5:18 am. I called it back and it led to capital one but I told them it’s illegal to call outside of the hours. They said call the number on the card and don’t give out any personal information unless you can confirm it’s the right number. They had no idea who called or why and everything is good on my side so if it’s a scam they don’t know either.

call came from capitol one, asking if I received emails requesting a financial statement. which i have not, then asked me for my email address so that he could verify, i asked him for my email address which he replied he could not give that to me over the phone. I ended the call. Also had my name.

This 1-800-955-1455 claiming to be CapitalOne and left me message and ask for me to call. Please look at your bank or credit card for customer service # before calling the # the fraudster provided. Also look the number up 1st and they look up Capitalone customer service # for the correct one. The Scammers are Real out here.
