have recieved 2 notifications in the mail (postmarked Colorado) to call this # the notes say it's very important, gives my DOB, and SS#. have tried calling for 2 weeks, but all they say is that there is no one to take the call, and they will call me back.

would like to know who this is.

I googled the address on the return postage and I got a collection agency called Ristra Locators.

My message was addressed to me but concerning the previous owner of the house.  I got the same recording you did.

I received the same notice but with both mine and my son's ss#.  It was addressed to 2 of my sons, myself, a (divorced) niece and deceased ex-mother-in-law.  I got the same message when I called (blocking my #).  The next day someone called me and wanted to know my son's address.  I didn't give it to him, just the phone # and he never called him.

Does anyone have any information on who this person is and how he's getting social security numbers?  The number the phone call came from was 517-289-8901.

No phone calls but received two mailings for a tenant of our rental property with the address, birthdate and name.  From PO Box 52, Pueblo, CO 81006.  Not sure as I am certainly not going to call the number.  It would seem that they are a collection company trying to fish for information in order to collect on debt.  Seems shady!

Received a call from "John", stated he was with McNeil & Andrews Accounting in Denver. He said he wanted to contact my daughter to send a rebate check that had been returned due to invalid address. But.... supposedly invalid address he read me is valid.
While he talked I Googled McNeil & Andrews Accounting.... they don't appear in general searches, nor do they appear in the Denver Yellow Pages. When I did not give out any information he gave me this phone number 800.955.3448 and asked to have my daughter call him.

This company will also call using fake numbers that they think are associated with the people they are searching for.  I returned the call to one of the 'fake' numbers, and a lady answered who said that my number had called HER repeatedly, so they had been employing the same technique with her as well.  I contacted "Ristra Locators", and although they will not tell you the name of their company or to whom you are speaking, I informed the 'gentleman' on the other end of the line that I was aware of what they were doing, and if it did not stop, I would be filing a complaint with both the FTC and the BBB of Colorado for harassment.  He assured me that the calls would stop, but we will see.....by the way, the first time "George Garcia" called, he also claimed to be from McNeil & Andrews Accounting regarding a refund of an escrow account.  As near as I can tell, this is an investigation company out of Colorado Springs, CO, that employs whatever tactics they can to find someone who owes a debt.  Scuzballs.
