- Slawek replies to JL| 1 replyI have better idea. Just start calling them back 18009607667 it's tall free number and don't talk to them. If everyone makes about 10 calls a day maybe they understand what it means to receive unwanted phone calls or faxes.
- NeugentReport them to the Texas Attorney General Office - Consumer Affairs, BBB and local media outlets. I just go by my gut instinct and delete these email faxes immediately upon receipt. If it seems too good to be true, it is.

- StopFaxingMeI just received an unwanted unsolicited fax from someone on 12/31/10 1:13pm PST. It's a advertisement for Vacation packages for $199. At the bottom it says call 1-800-960-7667 and if you received this in error call 1-866-689-1601. I called both numbers and there's no answer. Caller id from the sender is Toll Free Call. Guess I'm gonna have to pay AT&T to block my calls. What a waste.
- Lauren| 5 repliesI received the fax and called over... it ended up seeming rather legit. I am a skeptic by nature, however, and am extremely hesitant to book a trip through something that looks like a scam fax.
HOWEVER: Why is everyone complaining that this is a SCAM?? Has anyone ever actually taken a trip and experienced it first hand? It seems to me like all the negative opinions about Corporate Travel Department are pure speculation, and nothing more. My phone call revealed that many of these low rates are due to marketing sponsorships from large companies (i.e: Disney World) that get people cheap trips to Orlando and then encourage tourists to purchase additional Disney packages.
I have yet to see a REAL REVIEW that proves this company is a scam.- Caller: Corporate Travel Department
- TW replies to SlawekI just made about 100.
- James| 3 repliesI bought the package and went on the cruise. It's not a cruise, it's a ferry to the bahammas, but the drinks and food there and back are free ( five hour ride) once we were in the Bahamas we had to pay 90.00 for a room tax, yea right!!!! A regular room at the place costs 67.00 a night. The port tax they said you have to pay for the cruise is the actual price of the cruise....so basically I paid them 400 for nothing. Now I am back and attempting to collect on the round trip tickets. For the last week I have been given excuse after excuse but I have been keeping track of times called and people I spoken with. I will keep you all updated
- Ken replies to JamesThanks for posting that info about the cruise a coworker of mines gave it to me to check out for her abd I am glad I did before purchasing. Now I know its a total scam.
- anonymous replies to Pay backThe loop idea is positively evil and black pages are OK but *NOT* obscene material. You can be prosecuted for transmitting pr0n.

I tried to call in and get the same deal. Did you still get the trip? Was it more than they told you? Were they just taking your money? Because to me it sounded like a great deal and had a friend that did a similar offered through the same source and said they were 100% satisfied with their experience and that they went on the trip and everything. I am surprised to hear this and would like to know more about your experience. - MaxineRec'd a fax on 1/12/11. It's from "Corporate Travel Department." It "asks" if I would distribute this memo freely to all employees!!! Hmmm, this is a residence, not a business. Guess I'll just "distribute" it to myself through the shredder. Don't these people have anything better to do....like try to get a real job?

- George| 3 repliesThat Corporate Travel Department keeps sending these unwanted and illegal faxes is the first sign of fraud. And that they don't have a public website is the second sign of fraud. I tried to stop these faxes years ago, and they still keep coming.

- Heather replies to George| 2 repliesI almost went through with this same scam this am, they stated they are Sea Coast Travel and sounded very legit, I put her on hold to retrieve my debit card, btw, it is the same 4 vacation deal mentioned previously. I came back on and asked for the website and they gave me www.discountmyvacation.com which does not have any contact or address information, only an email contact form and no reference to Sea Coast Travel. She told me they were based in Ft Lauderdale. When I put her back on hold, I came back to talk to her a bit more and she had been disconnected. I then called the Florida department of commerce and agriculture and they informed me that neither sea coast travel or discount my vacation held a license in Florida as a "seller of travel" which is a requirement in Florida. They stated that they are required to divulge their business license number to consumers as requested. I called them back and asked for it and the supervisor came on and stated that they cannot release it as it would enable scammers to call different cruise lines and resorts and get discounts in their name. I told her what the dept of commerce said and she stated that is was untrue. When I said they do not have any seller of travel listed with either name in Ft Lauderdale or elsewhere, she stated that they had been in business since 1985 (the secretary had said since 1980, a minor mistake I am sure...) and that she had worked there for 7 years and that she could assure me that they certainly existed as she told me. When I asked how I could legitimize their existence and know that I would not be scammed, she stated as I now realized the travel "agent" had emphasized that the credit card or debit card companies protect their clients against fraud and that was my assurance I wouldn't lose my money. When I asked if the company had its Fl license she stated of course we do, it is the law. But told me I would have to take a leap of faith but be assured that it was guaranteed through my credit or debit card company if I wasn't happy. So, you authorize the transaction, they get paid, you find out it is a scam and contact your credit card company who will charge back the company, but if the account is closed before the chargeback, they still get their money, but the credit card company is out or you are out the money depending on the credit card companies policies.
I did make a second call to the department of commerce and talked with someone else and they assured me that there is not a company under those names operating legally in Florida. And I mean really, how many legitimate companies would not make an effort to reassure their clients and prove that they are indeed legitimate.
I am just glad the red flags started going up before I was cheated out of over 400.00 - aptarFaxes constantly coming through and this is a work fax. Wasting way toooo much paper. Please make them stop. Our number is 262-363-7754

- Ashley| 1 replySo I hope this story helps others, like all of your above helped me. Yesterday, my husband calls me on his lunch hour, he is a manager, and proceeds to tell me that he received a fax from these people, claiming to have the 5 Days 4 Nights in Orlando, + 3 Days 2 Nights in Daytona, + 4 Day 3 Night Bahamas Cruise with all meals one cruise included. Also, 3 Days 2 Nights in Puerto Vallarta, Vegas, or Honolulu with Round Trip airfare included, and children under 3 stay free! My husband called and spoke with a "Leah", she explain some of the package to him, but he was running out of time and had to go back to work, so he told them that he would have his wife (me) call her back to book! I called, got Leah on the phone, and I loved how everything sounded. I do mention that my husband is a manager for Wal-Mart, and that is where he got the fax. So, coming to Wal-Mart, we didn't even put up a red flag! So I was told that there was only 3 packages left at the price of 199$ each only because of someones credit card was declined. (To get this deal, you had to be within 50 calls). Yesterday when I had called back, we were the 47th caller! The package was suppose to be good for 1 year, but she said she would extend it to 2 years for us! How nice! ...So I truly fell for this! Leah ended up transferring me over to Nicole to finish up and pay it. I did not have a deposit into my checking until this morning. I ended up putting it on hold to go and confirm with my husband, and then had called back and asked to speak to Nicole. I got transfered to Nicki. (Notice the names are different). I said "Hi Nicki, I did get an ok from my husband, I just spoke with you about this right?" She says "Oh yes!" She went ahead and got approval to hold the packages until (today), and they would just bill me this morning. It was kinda weird, Nicole, and Nicki, DID NOT SOUND THE SAME! Still no red flags, I just kept thinking, Wal-Mart wouldnt do something like that. I was actually believeing it was coming from Wal-Mart corporate! Still no red flags for me!! Anyways, i gave them my DEBIT card number to my checking, as I do not have a credit card. After my husband got out of work, we were so excited to talk about it. And he says to me "I hope this isn't a scam!" I was like "Well it shouldn't be! It came from Wal-Mart right?!" ...The phone got silent. So I was feeling something wasn't right, things were clicking in. I decided to google the phone number (800-960-7667) And this is what I come up with! I was so upset, and scared, I couldn't call my bank because they were closed. I tried deactivating my debit card, but it wasn't accepting my SS# to do it! I thought, oh my goodness, I cannot put a stop to this! I knew they wouldn't just take their total of $419.00, they would take all they could get. And of course I am also waiting for my tax refund. What if that was deposited in the morning. I really felt like I was going to lose everything over these people. So I got smart, and started talking to a friend that banks at the same bank I do. she was trying to help me. We both come across what was called "fraud port" on our banks website. There was a 24/7 hotline, thank goodness. I called, explained what was going on, and the lady I spoke with was happy to deactivate my card, and she promised that they couldn't take it out. What a relief! So I did call my bank just to confirm no odd charges were coming out of my account, and nothing. Another relief!
So I decided to play a game with these people this morning! I called them back! I asked if they had any of the $199 packages left! She transfers me to another lady, (IT WAS LEAH!) Leah had one of those loud and raspy voices you just can't forget! (I forgot to mention that Leah had told me yesterday she knows what she is doing, she has been with the company for 8 1/2 years!) But "Leah" was using a different name today!! I used a different name myself. I don't remember what name she was using today, but anyways she proceeded to tell me they had 3 packages left due to credit cards being declined! JUST LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN I CALLED! She explain the package to me ...BUT there was MORE, I could take 2 more people with me for free!! She says "Do you want to purchase a package?" I laughed at her! I asked her "Wern't you Leah yesterday?" Her reply "Oh, NO I WASNT!" ..I said "Oh yes you were!" She said "No, Leah is another girl that works here!" I asked, "How long has Leah worked there?" She replys "Leah just started a couple of months ago!" Already caught in another lie!! So I continued on, and told her, you all are lairs, and scammers and it was a good thing I deactivated my debit card so they couldn't steal from me! And if they even feel any guilt for doing what they do...And also said how they have probably ruined a lot of peoples lives!! Do not do it, don't fall for it! If you want something fun to do, call the number above and ask if they have any packages for $199 left! I'm sure they will use the excuse a credit card is declined so they have 3 left!! Please, don't fall for this. Thanks to everyone above, I didn't lose a thing! Just got upset with myself!!- Caller: Corporate Travel
