I received a call from this number in October 2008.Women on the phone told me that the reason of the call is promotion program from "CunCun paradise" or smthn like that. That special offer cost 180 for each adult and package for two adults, two kids all inclusive(6 days 5 nights in resort, motel and etc). Now Im calling to this number using my refferal number and they says it wasnt "all-in" and I have pay extra 2500 for tickets and the rest (what a [***]!).And last time my girlfriend was trying to reach someone by this number?result - no answer.
So I've lost 800$ from my visa for nothing. What a screw..?!

My wife got caught up in one of these packages in May 2005 with Special T Travel. She had booked it on her Mastercard. We initially made the request for a refund from the company and when it failed we apealled to customer service of Mastercard in Canada. They replied that there was nothing that they could do so we eventually wound up sending a letter to the president and CEO of Mastercard and received a prompt refund. Try it with this scam.  we sent the letter to: President and Chief Executive Office

They said that the would do monthly payments on my cc and they haven't come off since i put some money down. I am not impressed that i got fooled with something like this. I just wanted to get away with no worries but it hasn't happened. And now after i bought this package (quote on quote). I am feeling that this is a scam and it is just a bunch of people working together. I talked to 3 different people and one of them meant to be a manager I guess.  If this was seriously legit they would have already sent me my package that I was meant to receive in the mail in 2 weeks and it has been a month and still nothing. For the reasons that I have mention I would not ever do this again. And if they say that you have won a trip then it should be free!

    Hi
I have signed up in about the same time period and like most everyone else on this website, I share your concerns! i have not yet booked my holiday but wish that you let me know what you think about it all so far and if you have actually gone on your holiday. Please reply. If I do go, I would be taking my young kids as well so I would rather suck up the loss (my own stupidity) than take the family on a crappy holiday. Hope you understand! Any news?

while in Canada earlier this year my daughter also received one of these calls. Stupidly after asking many questions she agreed to give them her credit card details. AFter discussing it with me we immediately contacted her Bank and tried to stop payment. It instantly came out of her account but after months of hassling and paperwork she received a refund. This was in Australia though and I am not sure where your Bank is located. But keep trying!

I got a call from this number 1-888-876-3708 and thought it's a telemarketer so i was thinking of ignoring it.  But then, it showed international call in my caller id so i answered the phone thinking that it might be from one of our family members back home (Phils.)  Too bad I was caught by telemarketers from backhome,  they offered me 5 days, 4 nights accommodation at cancun and 5 days, 4 nights orlando, florida for $ 598- and bec. we are of they same place back home they gave me better offer at $ 398 + personal gift of 3 days & 2 nights bahamas cruise. and, they'll give me lots of discounts for airfare. thinking that it's really a good deal and i trusted them as we came from the same nation, i grabbed the offer and use my MC.  I phoned my husband and told him the story and he was suspicious of the offers like a scam.  we both went online and did research and found out these stories about these calls and offers and experiences of other people.  i phoned MC company right away and tried to cancel the transaction but BMO said they can't bec. I gave them my information.  i feel stupid for such action but i'm still hoping that it will work out for real. if not then, i hope BMO MC would refund it back to me.

These people sold 2 trips to Mexico and one trip to Florida to my husband, who has dementia. When I called to explain the situation to them, they said it didn't matter because they already have his authorization.  It just never dawned on me to take his charge card away from him. I have now, but now I have to fight to get my money back from these people.  I am also reporting them to the BBB.

    never been to Mexico
Told me I was one of 10 selected from my city.(Red flag #1)  Next question to me was, "Are you married?"(Red flag #2)  It was a one-day offer only. (Red flag #3)  I would NOT have to sit through a timeshare presentation.  It was $498 not including taxes.  Not including food but they would include my 4 children at no extra cost since they are all under 17.(Red flag #4).  Airfare would cost not more than $180 per person because of their association with major airlines. (Red flag #5).  Told her I had to discuss it with my 'husband' so she said she would call back.  In the meantime looked at the website she gave me and it looked like a website my 15 year old son could design.  Also read comments from not only people complaining but even more scary are the comments from the so-called Dave Zambrano.  He pops up on all the complaint websites assuring people that they are legit.  They seem to pay attention to these websites because they have polished up their act by not asking right away for your CC # but they did want my cell phone number which I did not give.  She also gave me her name (Cheniel Walker) and ID # CTU8152.  When she called back I told her that I needed more time to research her company.  She said but it's a one day offer only .  I was in the middle of saying that I'm sorry I would just have to miss out on it this time when she hung up on me.  Maybe the offer is legit but I really believe all the incidental costs are what will get you in credit card hell.

    The Truth
For those with elderly family members who have been scammed, if they have dementia or another problem with mental capacity they cannot be held to the contract because they were not competent to agree. Tell that to these scammers and let them know they will be reported for abuse of the elderly and you will enlist the attorney general if they refuse a refund.

Cant believe these people are still getting away with this!  Report them to every appropriate department you can.  Nothing is ever received by email like they promise and the amount comes out of your cc immediately. Hopefully you have reported them to your Bank and asked for the money to be refunded.  Cancel the CC also!   Eventually you should get your money back from  the Bank - we did!  I think so many people have reported them that it sends alarm bells to your Bank.  Do not just sit back and think that you have lost your money. Keep fighting.  Good luck.

    VISAREP
I just spoke with a customer about these calls, unfortunately she fell victim of also. I understand some think VISA won't help you, and maybe we are even affiliated with these "aritsts" but we are not. Just as you do, we all have legal protocol we have to take. You must understand that in these issues, the bank usually ends up eating the cost, which is fine to me, also as a consumer, but this is why they want to research and make sure they are legitimiate disputes before they give you back your money. In order to get your money back we have to go through lengthy reports and investigations making sure that the complaints themsevles are legitimate and then getting the funds back from these theifs. Like someone else said...they have merchant ID #'s that they must have to debit your credit card. They are actual business owners! I'm not saying that means their not stealing from you, but unfortunately it is not as easy as 1,2,3 to get the money back. Be patient with the bank and maybe use the waiting time to reflect on common sense, or research scams like this to better educate yourselves.
