Have received 4 callsfrom 1-800-968-3504 left as voicemails in the last 2 weeks from Agway Energy Group "regarding my natural gas and electric accounts'.  I do not have accounts with them.   It's always the same woman , calling herself  Wilma Sipes or Stipes, sounding exactly the same each time which leads me to believe it's a recording.  I called back after the third call, was put on hold after I gave the 2131 extension, and then got a man who was trying to sell me the Agway plan. I requested to be removed from their calling list, he said something like 'well you folks voted to be able to chose your utility service'  I said again I'm not interested, he started the hard sell again, again I requested to be removed from their list and I hung up.  Just received the 4th call today, October 4, 2012, same old Wilma again. Even though they give an 800 number to call, the call originates from a different number, 1-718-569-7903.  So annoying!!!!!

Went through the whole sales pitch with the rep from agway. Don't understand how they scam u if they don't require ss# or credit card or acct. number. Sounded too good to be true so I didn't do it. I hear a lot of people saying its a scam but no one that actually got scammed by them! If someone can tell me how they scam me this way I'd appreciate it.

Have been getting calls from (718) 569-7903 almost daily for last one week. These guys try to sound to be helping us however, their tone doesn't sound the same. They don't understand when you tell them call later..they talk like a machine and keep asking to get the electricity bill and that they want us to pay lesser and not lose their exciting opportunity. They literally sound like scammers because they don't have any details as to who they are calling and would not keep the phone down until you literally tell them "keep the phone down, my time is more important than your saving me few dollars" but that doesn't mean they would stop calling you! They will keep calling & leaving 1800 number with extension for call back. Need to register with do not call for them.

The fact that making unsolicited calls and annoying people is your job doesn't make it any less reprehensible. I shall explain this in much greater detail if you are ever so foolish as to call me.

Could you, Mr. "Informed Consumer", explain how you came to Google this phone number and end up in this discussion forum? I suspect you have an interest in this business and you are just pretending to be an "informed consumer". If so, what you are doing is illegal.

Agway persuaded me to switch energy supplier for Con Ed. A month later my bill went from $1500 to $2500. He said I would be saving $200-300 a month instead now I have to pay $1000 extra a month. Lying scamming [***]!

This company sells for Agway in NY.
They are owned by scientologists.

if you are a legitimate company why was your employee by the end of the call saying "(expletive) you owe us money!!!!"

An agway rep harassed me for over 2 weeks to sign with them all while lieing to me! I was told that they had competitive rates of 1/10 lower then my current supplier. I even questioned him if my rates would change and he flat out lied!!! Then I get my bill for $268.06 for one month!!! With a 0.9854 rate!! When my current provider had several different rates for the month no higher then 0.3741! What they are doing is illegal! They legally have to provide the lowest rate and they clearly have chosen not to!!! They are taking full advantage of not being regulated along with harassing calls and flat out lieing to gain customers!!! I currently have an almost $900 bill for 4 months! and have to pay close to $300 so my gas wont get shut off!!! Do you not think That is Injust?

Then by all means, report them and go back to your old provider. Also report them to your states PUC and State Attorney General.

Always calling for no reason!

Agway is an esco (energy supply company) of con edision I work on that program. My name is Steven Loomis and I just want to apologize on their behalf for not being more professional. I call many people everyday who have been pitched or just gotton flat out lied to about. as a CSR of AGWAY all the information is on the back of the 1st page of your bill.

If I get a telemarketing call, to find out whether or not they're legit I like to Google the company's name and the word 'scam'. This thread is the top search result.

I got a call from a Lady from Agway today, she was nice. I am somewhat familiar with companies like this, but I don't give out personal information over the phone, so I politely declined to do my own research. I actually do owe Nyseg a ton of money, but there was no mention of anyone owing anybody anything. It might have been the least annoying telemarketing call I've ever received.

I'm interested to hear what other people's experience with the company have been, outside of the actual call itself.

Yes,this company calls my number 2-3 times a dat.I have explained to several callers that I'm not intrested,and they still call,and hang up.I called back through *69 today,and tokd them again to not call my# again.The caller said ge would put me on do not call list.

Com Ed SCAM again......number on caller ID appears as 3504 ONLY.  They called our business several times in a row asking for manager saying our meter will be shut down in 30 minutes if we do not pay for past due invoice. COM ED never calls businesses.

This company is relentless and has been harassing me with numerous phone calls for about a year now. I've told them to take me off the calling list on many occasions, I've had arguments with them, told them I have no interest yet they still call. Today, I was home all day and they called three times (and its only 5pm) ... I didn't answer the phone because I saw the  agway energy name come up on my caller id.
Other than changing my number ... I can't think of any way to make them stop.
This is the reason I came here to see if others are experiencing the same harassment.
