Coral Springs FLorida  06-29-21 RE: FPL SCAM Received a call from 949-593-1631 stating they were FPL and that unless we paid our account immediately our service would be disconnected by the end of the day.  They said "Press 1 for Service Representative or call FPL 800-974-7405" ----Called the FPL Phone number that I had and checked all of my accounts--took 20 minutes to get to a Real Person----after all accounts were paid up to date, I asked for their FRAUDULENT ACCOUNT DEPT---they texted me a web page to enter my info.
I do feel FPL should have an immediate response when a person calls regarding 'turning off their electric' and not have to spend so
much time trying to get past the automated call system in order to get to a PERSON to check into the matter, immediately.

Got a call from 314-365-2326 identifying themselves as Ameren Power regarding an unpaid bill. I was given the option of pressing 1 to be directed to an operator or calling 800-974-7405. Looked hinky so I looked up the 800 number and confirmed it was a scam.

Got a recording when I answered my phone saying from DTE. Stating they were going to shut of power today and that I need to call 800-974-7405 or press1. I pressed 1 and talked to "Jessica" with a strong accent and told here there was no account tied to that phone number. She insisted there was and I asked her what kind of scam this was and she hung up......

Well, they have made it down here to Clearwater, Fl. I got the call today, just like all the others listed above. The voice says that they are from Duke Energy and are scheduled to shut off my power today unless I press "1" now or call their "800" number. I knew it was a scam because I know my payments are current, but I have to tell you with the voice they are using, it does sound official. I have no doubt that a lot of people are going to get stung with this one....

My husband got a recorded message on cell phone that our electricity was being shut off.  Scam!

Yes exactly the same thing happened to us too. Just wondering what the police would do about this.

Tried to call back, got fax tone.

Claimed to be FPL and service was going to be shut off for non payment. Press 1 to make payment now or call 800-974-7405 FPL customer service line to make your payment.

Told they were pge and this is a final warning before they shut off my power  they called from 318 383 2223 tell,ING Mr to call 800 number

They're apparently back at it. We don't have PG&E in our area as we have a private electric utility provider. Dumb [***]! Oh, and I'm sure PG&E would not have a really bad digital voice recording calling you.

I got a Scam robo call voicemail from 1-800-974-7405 saying they were from FPL Florida Power & Light about disconnection of services. My bill is already paid.

Same scam as above saying they were Southern California Edison and this was the final notification to power turn off.  Checked and account is up to date.

Auto call stating that my Georgia Power is about to be turned off and this is their final attempt to collect the past due amount and that I need to call them or press 1 to speak to someone.  Jokes on them, I don't have Georgia Power.

Yes, this is a fraud call. They just called my parents stating that their FPL was going to get shut off today for non payment. funny I paid the bill on 6/12.

Fraudulent automated caller left msg that it was the final notice before service would be disconnected today from FPL (Florida Power and Light electric company). I already paid my bill and have had no other issues with my account.

Called claiming to be from PG&E and that service was about to be disconnected. My account is up to date.
