Claimed to be from Navient student loans.  This number not affiliated with Navient. Likely scammer.

Yep. Robo-call from Navient for one of our employees. Odd, since Uncle Joe switched Navient clients to Maximus last month.

"It’s official: Navient is out of the federal student loan servicing game, effective immediately. The U.S. Department of Education on Wednesday approved the company’s proposal to transfer loan servicing of 5.6 million Education Department-owned student loan accounts to Maximus, a federal contracting company."

Claimed to be Navient trying to get me set up for repayment - but Maximus is now the loan servicer. SCAME

I've been paying my stuff back throughout all of this. If they demand another payment at the start of january, I'm going to throw a rock at them.

Do you often look up known phone numbers when there's no logical reason to do so?

Number called and claimed to be Haley from Navient. I didn't answer but listened to the email. No loan services would leave a robotic message that is t even a real person. Definitely a scam.

I also got a call from a robotic 'Haley' from Navient. I checked the website and the number isn't listed there so I'm guessing that like the rest it was a scam. Be careful cause I got a follow up call from another person to call '855-369-6007' which also appears to be a scam.

Got a call from this number about a loan through Navient. What concerns me is that if it isn’t Navient they have both my name, number, and loan info. Who’s to say Navient safely transferred things to the new company?

If they want my cooperation they need to be less "clever", less hoops to jump thru.

It may not be Navient's number, but all the contact info they give to reply is Navient's number and website.  I think it's real.  However, the forbearance my loans are under pending income based repayment is also real.

The initial automated call asked for my social security number to validate the account.  I did not give that out and was connected to a person asking for the last 4 digits of my social.  I said their number was not listed as a Navient number and I had recently been in touch with Navient.  She kept asking for my social.  We ended the call when she said many more calls would be coming in as the date for my loans were about to be transferred.  I thanked her and hung up.
