A telemarketing call from an "auto warranty specialist".

I haven't had any telephone calls, probably because I've had my number listed on the federal "No Call" list, but I've received scads of emails at my work address, starting within a month of having purchased the car 14 months ago. And I receive frequent snail mails from this company. Because these contacts started when my car was brand new, I knew they were hoaky.

I have been receiving the same mail for a few years, even when I didn't have an expired warrenty. I haven't had a call from this number however been getting calls from another number at home and on my cell. from +561-482-7092. They ask for make model and vin number. My advise is not to give your vehicle vin number they can get keys made to your vehicle. If they were on the up and up they would already have this information. I am on the do not call list but guess its only for the U.S. There is a web for the UK for do not call. www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps. Hope this helps

I received several postcard like mailings claiming that it was my FINAL WARRANTY NOTICE, however, it was the first time I received it :). Of course it was a "hoaky" as someone else mentioned, because the mailing specifically stated "Please call us immediately with your exact mileage and VIN# to take advantage of this FINAL OFFER!". Anyhow, they called me and asked me a few questions, obvious ones which they probably already had the answer to like my phone number and name, and finally they asked me for my VIN #. When I refused to give it to them without first receiving details on the coverage of the warranty, the sales person decided to hang up the phone. Be Ware Be Ware.

I received a post card and put the phone number in to find the postings.  Thank you so much everybody.  I have no vehicles that are under warranty any way but was suspicious about this one.  This is just another scam praying on the good people of this world.  Let the good guys win!!!!

Yeah, I have received the same post card. I bought a decent used car, and then received this notice after only a month. There is NO info regarding the name of this company or any type of Identifiable info on this card anywhere. Wanted to check it out online, and found you guys! Thanks! I have now learned to STAY AWAY!!!!

I got a postcard too recently for a car I bought 2 years ago without any warranty. Looks like a scam.
