I heard one of their leaders got arrested for DUI

Our number is registered with the do not call list

When I recieve these calls I file a complaint with first the Do Not Call List, and then with my state Attorney Generals Office.

I got THREE phone calls from these people in the last two to three hours . They wont stop calling

I had a thought about this and did some research. When you search the phone number that called you and there's no website or other listing for the "business", I'm wondering if that might be a red flag? Perhaps that is a sign that these people calling are not legit, which seems most often to be the case. Also, after learning this particular number is supposedly MADD, I looked up their website and the number is NOT associated with them or at least not on their site. Furthermore, I looked up MADD's profile on BBB (Better Business Bureau) and still this number is not listed. Of course the ones calling can claim they are "calling on behalf" of the company. In any case, when in doubt I always hang up. Come to think of it, I never receive legit calls from a charity unless I've actually contacted them or made a donation beforehand.

BTW - there is an online service that can eliminate these annoying and unwanted calls. It's called TrapCall, look them up. As low as $5/mo to block any number. I haven't signed up just yet, but I will.

These people are driving me nuts.  I had the telemarketers held at bay for a while, while I was on the "do not call" registry.  But, I have moved and have a new phone call.  The FIRST call I got was from a debt collection agency looking for someone who had previously had my new number.  So, not only do I have to contend with unsolicited calls from telemarketers, survey takers, etc, but also with the previous phone number owner's problems, too.  I have decided to stop cowering from the ring of my phone and answer it from now on.  I have some choice words for most of them.

800-981-2591  12 frickin times between 1:30 yesterday and noon today!  I've never answered a single one of them, now or in the past, but something must have chapped their azzez for 12 times LOL

You're wasting your time calling me. I would NEVER donate to ANYONE over the phone, and I'm sure the vast majority of people feel the same way. Yet, you keep calling those who obviously won't be falling for your scam.

Spoke with a live customer representative, opted out of all future calls.

They've been calling for months when I am not home, and they do not leave a message.  I finally called the number back and that's how I found it was MADD.  You get a recording telling you to call 800-981-5526 to speak to a representative.  I called and asked to be placed on their do not call list.  They apologized and said I would be placed on the do not call list.

Perhaps there is some MAJOR confusion here folks? "DNC" is the acronym (abbreviation) NOT ONLY for the Democrat National Committee  (Center, Conference OR "Whatever") BUT FOR THE "DO NOT CALL" list.  Isn't interesting how politics slips into the most mundane stuff there days. People see what they want to see, before checking the facts. GROWL!!!

If company calling or Magazine they want you to subscribe to gets more than 10% of the money, then it is telemarketing. After all, when we buy a product with a pink ribbon that gives "a portion of their sales" to a well known charity, we still pay tax on the entire purchase price, because we are buying a commodity. They are selling one. Insurance Companies and Realtors work on commission, like these agencies and they are blocked.

It a good ideal to Google and phn # you dont reconize just look at the comments make by others.

These calls are making me MADD. I don't have any idea who's calling since the caller I.D. only shows 800service and they don't leave a message.
