Call received, no message left, I never, absolutely never, answer any calls from numbers I do not know.  Too many bottom feeders out there, phishing for suckers.

800-986-3343 was used in a email  supposedly from Principal Financial Group that said for me to call it if I had not recently asked to have my information changed.
Don't have anything with Principal Financial Group

This is not a crank number. It's the customer service number for Principal Financial.

called this number, supposed to be principal financial investments. first the robo prompt asks if you are 50 or older. if you reply yes, they offer you a medical alert device service. Next the robo prompt tells you that you have "won" a caribbean cruise and all you pay is $65 per port  for fees. if you don't reply, you are disconnected. What a scam from a supposedly valid company. Don't do any business with these people

Same email received here, plus a second one saying that a transfer has been made and will take 7 days to process. The email was addressed to an address similar to mine (my address is in the form firstname.lastname at gmail dot com, the email was sent to firstnamelastname at gmail dot com - not dot bt first and last name in the scam email). I have no dealings with Principal either.

Got a text saying my email address was updated and I do not have anything account or anything to do with this company which says its principal finance and to do nothing if this is correct and I do not know if I should call due to a lot of scams put there
