Someone with an Indian accent called and said they were receiving error messages from my HP computer.  I told him that my computer was broken and I had not used it in years.  I researched the number and it belongs to SmatSnake, a tech support company.  What they do is call and tell you they need to get into your computer to fix the errors and then try to charge you $$$.  THIS IS A SCAM!!!

Same as some before, Caller says they are HP support and are calling because they are receiving error messages from my computer. I dont even have HP computer I know these people are scam so I just messed with them for a bit before i told them to quit trying to scam people etc etc.

I called the number first so i guess you can say  sat myself up.  When  called  have  computer fixed needless  to say i paid. 100  for him to fix it  and  did with  problem.  The only suspension i  got is when he called  back when i didn't even need the service asking can he get into  computer. And he did that numerous of times. And  gave me  personal number another suspension. Other than that i got what  called for and  computer was fixed. Did i still  scammed?

A legitimate IT company will NEVER cold-call you, or attempt to access your computer remotely. If you are called by this number, please hang up and notify your local police.
